Going with a 6 win season (that is a 50% improvement).....

Miami will probably be the only game I attend this year and the only game I consider a must win. I've always been disappointed with UC's attendance in Oxford - we should own the place - so it would be nice if this year people become more interested because this may be the highest probability for a loss in years.

To be fair, as someone who lived in Butler Co. until recently, it's not a fun drive and there aint a whole lot to do around Oxford itself. Hamilton and Fairfield either really(come to think of it.) I can understand lack-luster attendance.

I go to games because of the game not peripheral things.

I could care less about what is around stadium.

We always tailgate at Oxford before and then leave ASAP.

It's a boring drive. If I have to go through cornfields, suburbs and fast food places/retail plazas for an hour and a half, I'd kind of like something to do when the game is over. You know, before hopping back in the car and driving all the way back? There is some nature to be enjoyed, I like Hueston woods. It would be better in town, if the kids didn't turn nearly every bar there into a gross pit. Having said that, if it weren't for the university and by extension the students there, there really wouldn't be a town at all. Just further corn and soy. The folksy, quiet places around it aren't all that entertaining either. Darrtown, Collinsville, Seven mile/Edgewood, Preble County... Just the same flat land forever.

That's because you have a private helicopter.

Getting to Oxford is a chore, getting out of Oxford is worse.

UC has pretty strong attendance at a "road" game, I wouldn't complain.

Oxford is a great time unless you want to be a stick in the mud.

We are paying my kid to be our personal Uber service for the evening so that a few of the fellas can spend some quality time at CJ's, Mac N Joes and possibly the Circle Bar in the alleyways with a DD for the late drive south.

This is a great use of your kid and A+ parenting on your part.

I may be in Daytona that weekend, but if not I'm sure I'll make the trip up to Oxford. May have to look into hiring a personal valet.

Actually...I think I'll just hire Billy_Bearcat /

I do not use a chopper to Oxford, that said the Bentley does get a lot of stares going the back route through Darrtown, etc.

Of course, it's the mid 70's Nova and the passengers in the backseat get to wear a clip-on mullet for the drive

According to rumors on Bearcat Journal it appears Ryan Stout may have left the team. If so that would be terrible news for an already thin OL.

If he doesn't want to be here, good riddance.

As of today, it appears we have depth issues at about every position except RB. We'll see how things shake out after fall camp.

You think we're deep at RB? Who is proven with significant carries under their belt behind Boone?

BTW, lighten up and don't be such a douche about Stout. You don't know the circumstances as to why he left the team.

we may be in for a rough one lads

but if they play hard and I see the coach stomping up and down the sidelines yelling, I'm ok with it...still better than we've had

Same here. I have already seen improvement and enjoy the effort rather than the Tuberville malaise. There will be no game with a total of 100 yards in penalties, 5 turnovers and 2 special teams gaffes.

That's the spirit! Great attitude with 18-20 year old young adults who chose to be Bearcats and for a reason you don't know might have to hang up the cleats. Good riddance indeed!

RE: FB 2017 Predictions
Don't know why but he is no longer on the official roster. Not so great a position group just got worse.

Coaches are going to have to find a way to win with mirrors with how inexperienced this roster is.

With key guys like Stout and Thomas gone before camp even starts, this could be the type of year that only 2-3 players getting dinged up could be a nightmare.

I predict our coach won't tell our fans to "Go to hell" and certainly not to "get a job."
