I like the idea of adding another national brand, but boy are there a lot of strings attached!

Eventually Florida State and Clemson are going to balk at more sweetheart deals.

I really think that West Virginia and Notre Dame just need to join in full.

That gives you contiguity, the branding you need, and in West Virginia a school that boosts all 3 major sports in competitiveness. (Just buy stock in sofas.)

The ancillary play would be in matches and lighter fluid.

The smell of polyester in the morning...smells like victory.

Does that smell better than vinyl (or naugahyde)?

I like the WV & ND option a heck of a lot better than UT Austin getting a sweetheart deal.

West Virginia to the ACC makes to much sense

They bring a gap for the ACC between VA and PA and VA and KY.
They have a presence in DC market.
They are Pitts rival.
They are good at all sports
Have a good fan base that travels.
Makes the southern schools happy as they are football minded and would bring another SEC like football school to the ACC to go with Clemson, Florida State, and Louisville.
Make basketball schools happy as well.

It makes sense but it's not going to happen.

Previously I would've agreed, but in recent years they picked up 3 more "Yes" votes (Pitt, Syracuse and Louisville).
