Lemme ask you a serious question: Do you think Trump and his family are all Russian double agents waiting to be activated? Because if they aren't, the mainstream media is wasting all our ******* time.

The Trump campaign is being investigated by the senate & house intelligence committees as well as his own justice department. YOU might be wasting YOUR time listening to it but the press is doing their job covering it.

I don't have a problem finding coverage of the healthcare debacle. It's getting a bit irksome reading about how each bill might effect me only to see that Republicans can get their **** together enough to pass. I don't blame the media though.

We'd all love to hear something about tax reform. You're blaming the media for this? You understand how policy is made right? Not by CNN. Congress and the Trump administration are looking like the Keystone Cops bumping into each other.

It seems you're suffering from the same thing Trump is, the high of the campaign is wearing off and the cold hard reality of how ill-equipped he is to perform the duties of the presidency are sinking in. And you must be taking your cues from him as well 'cause here you are blaming the media.

I suggest you get outside and enjoy the summer. Go on a hike and enjoy nature while it still exists. Play with your kids or dog, join a book club.

RE: Sick and ******* tired of politics
this is always what happens when one side is in control. (GOP has White House, House, and Senate)

political parties are great at telling you who's to blame for your problems and why they are unable to get anything done (it's always the other party).

what they suck at is actually doing anything constructive once they have control. It was the same with the Democrats.

Democrats pushed through ObamaCare with zero GOP input...now the GOP is trying to ram through TrumpCare...for it to be worthwhile legislation both sides need to come together and compromise.

problem is in today's 'us vs them' political world compromise is considered a dirty word.

RE: Sick and ******* tired of politics
The problem is career politicians, who are always working on re-election and keeping rich donors happy. We need a Constitutional amendment on term limit and how they fund campaigns! So who do they serve the people or thier wealth backers? The Holy Bible says a man cannot serve two masters, because he will love one and despise the other one. My fellow Americans, they despise, "we the people"! 07-coffee3

The senate and house committee conducting an investigation was purely political. For them to deny an investigation with the media-Soros consortium inciting violence in all the blue/welfare cities would have been a disaster. If you have nothing to hide, you conduct an investigation to satisfy the people. There is zero chance Trump and Co. did anything of significance beyond anyone before them regarding cooperating with a foreign source for campaign help. Kennedy was doing FAR worse 40 years ago.

Yes I'm blaming the mainstream media for their coordinated effort in presenting their narrative to the low-info American - of which there are many. You want to see how real news is done on the issues that matter most? Watch CNBC.

Beyond his personal eccentricities and lack of political decorum, I think Donald Trump is extremely well-equipped to handle the duties of the president as it pertains to "doing the right thing for America", and this has been born out by the many interviews I've watched (on CNBC) of great business leaders who have met with him privately and came away very impressed. You will NEVER see these interviews on any other media channel. They're too busy looking for the pee-stained sheets where Trump supposedly urinated on a bunch of hookers in Obummer's old hotel room; you know... TOP NOTCH journalism!!111

One thing is for sure... Trump is certainly better equipped to make important decisions for America than the community leader/adjunct law professor from Chicago that preceded him. B.O's idea of an American utopia is having everyone on welfare. They used to call that communism.

Some of the Republican lawmakers are cowards and are letting the media dictate their decision-making process. Back when Soros and Co. were stacking Republican town hall meetings with paid protesters and we heard for the FIRST TIME that Obamacare is the greatest thing on the planet, you could see their resolve crumble. You take crying welfare recipients in Republican town halls followed up with "Special Reports" on a baby that was saved due to a 3 trillion dollar heart surgery that could never have been afforded before Obamacare and you have a publicity nightmare. The media makes up part of the 50% of American voters who are still crying (like spoiled brats) that they lost the election. And instead of doing the right thing and getting behind the new president (or at least shutting the **** up for a moment), they've fanned the flames of political acrimony to levels that have never been seen before.

In the future you're gonna see somebody write a tell-all book about how the leaders of the mainstream media networks met privately in order to coordinate their attacks for the sole purpose of removing a rightfully elected American president - I promise you. And if this ever happens, if the media and oppositional operatives are successful in their coup, you'll see the silent majority finally show their teeth and then it'll be "Go Time". We've got money, guns, brains, numbers, massive land ownership... and we've got Texas. We've also got a ton of bubble gum, but eventually even that, just like our patience, will eventually run out. And you know what happens when we're all out of bubble gum don't you?

Didn't realize there were beaches in Wichita but there must be for you to have gotten so much sand in your sensitive lady parts. The reason yourself and Trump don't like the media is because they don't ever have anything good to say and the reason for that is because he's a ******* moron. It's plain as day. And did you really say influence low info voters? A couple of posts ago you posted a quote from an anti-democracy Scottish aristocrat and attributed it to Benjamin Franklin. An informed voter would be able to tell the difference between what are real American ideals and what's anti-American **** covered in eagle droppings with an American flag draped around it, maybe a picture of some guns and a bible and a God bless the troops put in there for good measure. In your last post I was waiting for you to bring up how Clinton runs an international child sex ring out of a pizza parlor and smuggles Uranium to Russia in her coochie. Low info voters, my ass.

Like I said earlier man, I'm trying to help you out because it's clear you've bought a bill of goods. I'm not telling you to switch to the ones the left are selling. I'm telling you to stop getting intoxicated on the smell of you own farts and the tears of liberals, realize you've bought into your own narrative and go outside. Take a bike ride. Make love to your wife (or husband). Do anything but engage in the US' race to the bottom.

If you want to talk about healthcare or taxes I'm game. But it doesn't seem like you do. Dollars to donuts you're not an expert in either but hold a strong opinion on both.

I don't mind wasting time debating with a libtard, but if you can't understand or won't apply the logic of the unsourceable phrase I posted earlier, to the topic of government with respect to the behavior of the governed, well... it's probably better that I just go back to smelling my own farts. I'm not going to say you're dumb, but either you're are intellectually disengaged (which is fine) or you really don't give a **** (which is fine too). I don't give a lot of ***** either anymore. I'm merely venting.

"When the people find that they can vote themselves money that will herald the end of the republic.”

Ad hominem attacks are usually a measure of last resort. It doesn't matter if Stalin uttered the above phrase because it does not change it's foundational truth one iota. Socialism sucks and it's proven to be inferior to capitalism in nearly every corner of the earth since people have been keeping score.

You want to hear my personal views? Ok.

Incentives/disincentives must be in place for people to choose to rise economically as the majority of man are inherently lazy seeking the greatest efficiency in which they may satisfy their most basic needs.

The quote starts off "A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government" which fits in fine with your guns and bubblegum ideals but not so well with the ideals this country was founded on.

But if you want to examine this quote then I'd point out that you're taking a narrow view applying it only to money and an even narrower one applying it only to social welfare programs. To my first point do people not vote for their best interest, or what they perceive to be in their best interest in any number of ways? Not only for economic gain. Maybe they don't want other people to be allowed to wear their pants a certain way or allow same sex marriage because it offends their sensitivities and a candidate has promised to fight that. They want the country to mirror their ideas not because that is what our country is about or because it would be the best for everyone but because those ideas are theirs. They love their own farts, sadly increasingly more than this country. Are those people not voting in their self-interest and in doing so eroding the basic tenant that the United States is a place where everyone can be free and have the same opportunities? If you do want to talk about money and taking advantage of the government then who has more to gain than the rich. If there is class warfare occurring in this country it's not the poor or working class that are coming out ahead. So, yeah. I'm afraid not many people consult the constitution before voting but you can't point to the left and say you're destroying America because of your greed. Is it as disasterous as not-Benjamin Franklin says? I hope not.

But you miss the point of why anyone would need to attribute that quote to Benjamin Franklin who very much didn't hold those views. Because they wanted you to feel patriotic when you usurp democracy. Would you have posted it if the next line was "God save the Queen"? I think not.

So on socialism vs. capitalism you side on capitalism, huh? That's very nuanced of you. Does CNBC report that those are the only options? Seems kind of extreme to me. I mean I don't want the government to come take control of all our assets but agree that a social safety net is probably needed. Huh? Glad you've got it all figured out. An economist huh? Seems to be a lot of them around lately. Now do you want people to actually work for a living or is it ok for them to be rich and lazy? I'm trying to figure out if it's lazy or poor people you have a problem with. Cause there's a lot of lazy rich people and hard working poor people, you know. Like you said earlier there's a lot of dumb people in the country (and that's ok) but they don't exactly have executive material written on their forehead if you know what I mean. Even if they do manage "to choose to rise economically" someone's going to have to take their place right? Someone's got to dig the ditches right? They're not going to dig themselves...well actually with automation they might. So they'll go from ditchdigger to unemployed? They're choosing incorrectly, I guess. I'm confused, you explained the American economy so simply maybe I need to go back and reread your post.

They're not going to dig themselves...well actually with automation they might. So they'll go from ditchdigger to unemployed? They're choosing incorrectly, I guess. I'm confused, you explained the American economy so simply maybe I need to go back and reread your post.

"Cause there's a lot of lazy rich people and hard working poor people"

That's pretty much all you needed to say. I think you would do very well to consider moving to Italy, Spain, or France. We'll continue to work hard over here so we may become rich, so we may get taxed, so the government can continue spending $600B a year to defend your freedom, so your socialist country of choice can forego defense spending, so they can afford to pay you to do nothing, and you can just sit on the banks of the Champs-Élysées sipping wine and eating cheese.

P.S. I've met some pretty rich folk in my life, none of which were lazy. In fact, most sacrificed many of the simple pleasures of the "poor", like watching their children grow up or taking the family on a camping trip. It's always the evil rich with you people. You simply do not know what side your bread is buttered on. The top 20% of earners pay 85% of the income tax, the bottom 20% get paid. There's your safety net.

P.S.S. Now get the **** outta the basement and go get a job!

The call for an exodus from momma's basement was already made -by me- in post #29. Don't take it personally though, libtards are well-known for having a dearth of original ideas. Relatively speaking; there's little reason for a 'rat to expend much effort on anything -the least of which being originality- when you can simply sit in front of your X-box all day waiting for dat check (from my account to yours)... always, at the first of the month.

Brings up "momma's basement" for the third time in the thread. Derides Liberals as not having original ideas.

Umm, i'm not wading in here because the amount of i dont know **** that has been shown is deep.

The vast majority of wealth in this country is inherited, by far. The top 1% has been the same families for most of our history, most no longer produce or create anything, they are legacies.

Umm, i'm not wading in here because the amount of i dont know **** that has been shown is deep.

The vast majority of wealth in this country is inherited, by far. The top 1% has been the same families for most of our history, most no longer produce or create anything, they are legacies.

He mentions the top 20%, you mention the top 1%. So, which are we debating?

Oh the irony...

Allow me to inform you. The vast majority of wealth in this country belongs to the middle class. The top 1% in this country is just that. 1%. It isn't worth your jealous tears. And to tell you the truth, the rich that keep the riches do so, not because they inherit it, but because they were taught by their parents HOW to keep it. Ask any multi-million dollar lottery winner. They will tell you from their 1979 Vega with the ripped cloth seats... It ain't getting it. It's keeping it. THOSE statistics are simply unbelievable.
