These rankings are suspect. SC United (is that a college, or a soccer team) is ranked dead last, but has enough "points" to place in the top 8. I'm glad we're ahead of Springfield College at least...it'd be embarrassing if we weren't.

Keep in mind that our scholarship assistance is minimal...nobody has a full scholarship, a couple have half-scholarships and it goes down from there. and many on the the team have scholarship support...these guys are gymnastics version of recruited walk-ons.

Biog universities with huge athletic funds like Nebraska have full scholarships for up to the NCAA limits of nine. Our team gets support from alumni, but nothing like that.

Actually, our men's gymnastics program always has young men who do so well academically they earn scholarship awards while in school for their academic performance.

We have had several national NCAA champions, a remarkable performance, and a credit to the coaching staff.

Well then...I now know more about Men's college gymnastics than I thought I'd ever know.

Our men's XC coached resigned to take a position with some lowly SEC program.

Not looking at any numbers, but I'd guess his assistant coaching salary at Florida is more than his head coach salary here.

We're bringing the grandson to the burg for 4 days next week. We will prowl the halls of the Kaplan making contact with those involved. Planning on introducing the lefty to TJ, and others, eating at the KAT, the old Colonial, and hooking up with friends. If I learn anything, I'll report back.

Baseball is a lower level than MLB. Probably more like high A/AA ball in the CAA. SEC baseball is more like AAA ball. Some of those schools have support as good as a couple of MLB teams.

He wasn't talking about our baseball compared to actual MLB. The comparison was about how we compare against other schools and what or strongest sport is. That being said, I agree that we are not at the top tier of baseball. The SEC and a few other majors are at another level. Since baseball plays more games than football or basketball we have a chance to snag one more often. With limited scholarships it also helps narrow the gap between the top tier, but still a gap (see facilities and other support that is unrivaled at some of the power schools).

. In talking with Coach Brian today I learned that baseball is fully funded scholarship wise. We are establishing ourselves as a top 30 program. That's all good.
