I'll ignore the dumb all-caps to address what is a fair substantive issue:

IMO, UConn's women's basketball program has never in the past been a significant reason for them being invited to a conference, and in the future it never will be either. As awesome as their women's hoops program is, women's hoops is just never much of a pertinent factor in those decisions.

It helps on the margins. Football is 85% of the package, Mens BB 10% and everything else equals up to 5%.

Even that last 5% isn't equally distributed. Figure baseball or ice hockey (South or North) is next, followed by women's hoops. Maybe 1%?

UCONN does not have a great market.

AAU membership is largely irrelevant to every P5 conference. Even the B1G took a team that was in the process of getting tossed from the AAU into its league. No P5 conference has 100% membership in the AAU.

UConn actually has a good market, but like many other schools, isn't going to carry it without a 'must take' cable TV scenario.

----

Basically, a conference might *like* to have a good basketball team, but they NEED good football teams with strong and consistent support. UConn doesn't qualify under that metric, and many teams in tne P5 wouldn't be offered in the new environment.

What's the 111 game winning streak worth? Not much! In 2011 every women's basketball program lost money. In 2014 & 15 UConn's was still losing money. In 2016 they turned a profit of a little over a million. They were the only final four team operating in the black and if you included the seasons that encompassed their run they would have still been in the red.

Women's basketball is almost exclusively a child of Title IX and is a money loser at almost every school. There are no coattails with UConn's Women's basketball for other conference schools (at least not in any kind of money making capacity) and the tourney credits seldom catch any school up because the ratings are atrocious.

UConn,
Notre Dame
Baylor
Duke
Tennessee
Stanford
South Carolina
LSU(?)
Miss St (knocked off UConn but used all its momentum to do so, ala Wisconsin vs. KY)
Louisiana Tech

I know there is a SEC bias here, but realistically, only a handful of teams seem "competitive" in the sport. Women's basketball is probably the equivalent of baseball/hockey, as it is regional, etc.

But I do think there is a slight bonus for a conference in taking a strong women's basketball program. Example: Before the stuff hit the fan with Baylor, if the SEC had expanded with Baylor and say OK, then I'd say okay great, a couple of strong football brands (at the time), and I'll enjoy watching TN-Baylor women's basketball games. But I don't say "oh, we have to grab Baylor because of their women's basketball team." Similiar to how I like the idea of Virginia in the SEC for its baseball, but I want Virginia because of markets and academic prestige, not only because of baseball. It's a bonus for those that are considering a team already, but doesn't affect which teams are considered.

I.e, the SEC isn't going to go grab UConn for its women's basketball, because it is not great in football and a geographic outlier.

So its not a factor but a bonus.

I would term it like this.

UConn's basketball helps them, but only if their football success and support is good enough for them to make the case for admission without basketball. Its a tie breaker. But UConn football isn't there, so basketball is irrelevant.

And if the Big XII breaks up, it will be the same story at Kansas.

You put it better than I did. However, I do think Kansas is a little bit better off because of their AAU status and current investment in their football stadium. Showing investment like that means that if they can get the right coach (hard to do at Kansas with Bill Self wanting to be the big dog, I understand), they could take off. And because of location, they could go to the SEC, Big 10, or even the PAC 12 depending on how things fall. UConn realistically could only go to the ACC or maybe the Big 10, if AAU status isn't an issue.

So its not a factor but a bonus.

It's a money loser, period. Pat Summit was terrific and Tennessee actually turned a profit for a couple of her years. But softball makes more money. Softball is the bonus that counts. And in the SEC baseball is annually a revenue sport for the majority of our schools. So a baseball program that is competitive and in the black is a bonus.

Nobody is getting a look in realignment because of women's basketball, which is what the OP is about.

And in the North it doesn't hold a candle to men's hockey.

I challenge you to find any factual evidence that Women's basketball is any kind of a financial incentive for any conference. You call it a bonus and that I could agree with if you also say that it would be a bonus that merited no other consideration. Meaning any realignment decision would be made totally independent of what a schools women's basketball program could do or not do. It would be like saying that realignment was based on what tennis did for a school.

There are three consistent revenue sports at SEC schools (with only a little variance): 1. Football, 2. Men's Basketball, 3. Baseball. Softball is the only women's sport that SEC schools make money on, and even then not all of them. In fact Vanderbilt doesn't even have a women's softball team.

I think the NCAAT is a wash. They may add SOS but they also add losses. They would likely eliminate as many credits as they add. The same with TV. Any game is likely replacing a MBB game so at best a wash, probably a negative.

Tennessee women used to be in the same position. They haven't been the same since Summit left. There is no pipeline of developing coaches out there to maintain a program at that level.
