The fact that ECU's athletic department is failing and Compher just got an ungodly extension probably isn't sitting too well with the conference Presidents. Football is the only reason ECU was added. Unlike ECU, UCONN has other redeeming qualities (basketball/Olympic sports/academics/high athletic budget) even if we never have another winning record in football. All ECU has today is football attendance. The fact that every ECU fan on here can only bring up football attendance when criticized pretty much proves my point. LOL.

I would agree, the conference presidents have to be shocked at the extension to Compher considering he has decimated the sports programs at ECU across the board.

I'd watch the bravado...

Michael Perry was the only positive in ECU athletics last year... on what was still a woefully losing squad.

And... Now Perry's relegated back to the bench! Wut!!? Even though ECU beat an under .500 injury-riddled Huskies squad at home, it's still hope that you don't have under Leblow. Now you have nootin

Are you trying to compare ECU athletics and UCONN athletics since the formation of the AAC? Thanks for the good laugh. 03-lmfao

So what's up with the hate filled diatribes for ECU? I for one would like to see every team in the conference improve. Football drives the bus for most conferences and ECU has done pretty well over time against it's conference mates, not only in attendance. Link. I don't expect that to change.

Maybe not for long! Don't forget that the AAC adopted the old Big East bylaws. ECU could very well become the next Temple. COGS

True, don't want to continually finish with a losing record in football, like for the past five seasons, and get kicked out .....

You should do your homework. Temple did lose a lot, but was ultimately kicked out because the conference felt like they weren't putting in any effort to improve the situation. Womp womp.

Temple football is what got them kicked out. I know this ain't Jalapeño Mac n' Cheese but try and keep up. Five straight loosing season's ain't exactly "putting in any effort".

Loosing? You ever think that maybe you should tighten that ish up?

I have to first get into an argument with you in order to lose said argument. Remind me again what argument you and I are having?

Not a good timeframe to be bragging about. Viewed uncharitably, people could wonder whether Tulsa was stuffing teams with draft dodgers too scared to serve their country...

Maybe they did. Who knows? But couldn't you say the same for the teams they were playing in those bowls? I believe Tulsa didn't field a team 1 or 2 years during WWI. That or they were bad for lack of players.

During WWII, programs like the Army Specialized Training Program and the Navy V-12 program trained over 300,000 men at over 200 universities to be officers or for technical training. Could have been some of those.
