I'm guessing the lack of a second N in UCONN is some special dig that you Wichita fans have for winners like us? Funny.
As to your question, no rational UCONN fan wants "the guy on the right" fired. That's just something ginned up by fans of the other 10 AAC schools. They hate us cuz they ain't us. Just ask that Cincy troll who answered your question for UCONN fans. He totally has the pulse of Husky Nation.
FYI: that guy on the right is named Kevin Ollie and he's done something your pathetic HC has never done...won a championship.
With Calhoun scraps.
Your entire program is defined by one person. And now you're seeing the reality of the situation. And then of course, you blame it on the AAC, instead of your own shortcomings.

Are you serious?? You're telling a program that won the national championship in 2014, their 4th in the past twenty years, to be relevant again? And you're doing this when your greatest accomplishmeht ever is a final four appearance. Do you know ignorant that makes you look?
Hell SMU is 7-2 against UConn since the start of the AAC. We have two conference Championships to their none but I'd never talk trash to them unless it was in a very subtle way like pointing out the above because they have the national championships.
BTW, I'm calling it right now, UConn will beat WSU in Hartford/Storrs.
Actually, we have one. 2016, I believe, was the year we won it. We lost to Kansas in the 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament. Something that I'm sure excites Wichita fans.

So because UCon has national championships I'm not allowed to have an opinion? All I said was that Memphis shouldn't be the only host site. Then the UCon fan got butt hurt and began his overplayed anti-WSU parade.
He has an axe to grind because WSU is more relevant than UCon right now. I'm just reminding him of that. I'm not program comparing.

Also, isn't your entire program defined by one person, Gregg Marshall?
Aren't we defined by Larry until we prove otherwise?
Absolutely, what is your point? He called out UConn for being defined by one person and I pointed out that it is exactly the same as WSU exceot for the UConn person won three national championships and had a hand in the fourth while WSU's one person has made it to a final four. Had nothing to do with SMU.

Hey, here's an easy question. When was the last time Wichita won a national championship in basketball? Take your time, I'm not going anywhere.
Of course you aren't. You take the stairs everywhere.
So jack freaking squat is your answer? Can't say I'm surprised.

I look forward to basketball season each year but if this is what WSU fans are like in the offseason, this board is going to be insufferable come November...

Easy fix. Beat them and the jawing will stop.
If Marshall leaves, we'll see if "Shocker Nation" is still around (like Tiger fans were long after Calipari left) or if the entire program is really only one guy.

Comments like these indicate you have no idea the depth or endurance of Shocker Nation. We're actually more calm when we're winning. This is our good side. A fanbase of trolls we've been called before with myself being the worst kind. But see? We're all warm and fuzzy now comparatively.

Wichita State is one of the best jobs in the country for Gregg Marshall; it's a perfect fit. And he's a natural born troll too... a match made in heaven.

That's rich coming from you (Memphis State). Cincinnati may deserve some respect because of their historical value. They hit the national stage at the same time that Wichita State did, but they took it a step or two above (under Oscar) what we were able to accomplish behind Stallworth and Ralph Miller . But in the 1960's, i remember the Memphis State in the Valley under the tutelage of Mo Iba. You were lucky to win one game. Bartow did bring you to a place of national respect and you've had more ups than downs (we won't talk about Calipari's NC being taken away).
WSU has had it's ups and downs too so I say this with some humility, but we hit the national stage before Memphis State so come off your high horse.

I would prefer a weekend in Memphis, Philly, NOLA, Houston, Dallas or Orlando before Tulsa. All these cities have NBA arenas and provide much more entertaining options.
Also, the only benefit of having Tulane in the conference is NOLA. Not taking advantage of that is like having UNLV and not having Vegas host the tournament.
Tulsa has an NBA level arena at its disposal and it will come at a cheaper price to the conference than an arena with a NBA tenant in it. It doesn't really matter where the tourney is as long as multiple teams' fans can get there reliably and that it's not in the same city every time.

I get the jab for touting conference tourney titles. But UConn also has actual titles. UConn had as many tourney wins in 2014 as Creighton does since the early 70s.
UConn fans have a lot to be proud of. That doesn't mean WSU or its fans are going to back down. It does mean there may be some fun discussions. It's nice to be having those discussions with folks whose ultimate goal isn't a 1-yr ticket to a one-and-done 14 seed.
