UNT's Muñoz leading this week's PGA Tour golf tournament
UNT's Juan Sebastian Muñoz shot a blistering 61 (-9) today to take at 2-stroke first-day lead at this week's PGA Tournament at the venerable Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia.

More details: http://golfweek.com/2017/07/06/pga-tour-...r-classic/

When he was a senior with the Mean Green, Muñoz won the 2015 CUSA individual title.

My buddy took a Phil Mickelson golf ball to the head. LOL.

His shots must have found the Kind Green.

Great find. Always glad to see a North Texas or other C-USA golfer do well. 04-cheers

Update: Munoz is currently -12 with a 4 stroke lead on the 17th hole. Quite a run so far.

I was watching for awhile. They mentioned he was a North Texas alum multiple times. Good stuff!

A top 5 finish for our former conference champ, at 12 under. If Munoz learns from this experience, we may be seeing the beginning of a bright PGA career.

Good for him. One of the best stops, if not the best, on the tour for a newcomer to have a chance to win.

RE: UNT's Muñoz leading this week's PGA Tour golf tournament
my other nephew will be playing at moo-U next year.....and he just missed the cut in the magnolia am.....

golf really is mind over matter.........was always (still is my fave).....

you have to leave your body to become the master.....once she creeps in, it then becomes exponentially more difficult....

disclaimer: I was putting cross-handed in the late '70s.....there's a reason Stadler's son no longer attempts to play.....

golf can be/is the biggest mind fuxxor of them all....munoz proved that once again,...
