greatest game you ever attended
Easy for me - 2011 NBA Finals game 5. The last home game of the most incredible sports season of my life.

Wichita State/Gonzaga. 2nd round of the NCAA tournament in SLC 2013. That game is generally overlooked as a great NCAA tournament game and one of the most improbable offensive barrages in tournament history. In the college basketball landscape we were a general unknown at that point. If that same game happened now it would probably be more widely regarded. That game was so important for Wichita State too. We play that game ten times and I honestly feel like we lose 8 or 9 times out of ten. If not for that insane offensive barrage we definitely lose. If we lose that game, no Final Four. Maybe Gregg never quite believes he can win a National Championship at Wichita State without the Final Four and he leaves. Maybe we never get into in The American without the Final Four. Absolutely amazing game and it just adds to it that it was probably the turning point in Wichita State history.

Memphis vs Texas AM in the Sweet 16 at the Alamodome...we advanced to the Elite Eight off free-throws.

little did I know we would be back in San Antonio for the FF the next season. (I was only able to make our games in Little Rock during the 08 tourney)

final minute

1A. Tulsa @ Notre Dame, 2010. We scored 1 offensive TD, 2 FG's, 1 punt return TD, 1 Pick Six, and had a 2pt conversion off a blocked extra point attempt, and missed one of our extra points I think? We beat ND 28-27 after we intercepted them in the endzone. You'd thought we'd won the Super Bowl.

1B. Beating Iowa State in the 2012 Liberty Bowl. There were way more ISU fans but we smoked them anyways. Tied a program best with an 11-3 record.

On the losing side, BYU v SMU in the Holiday Bowl in the eighties. Unbelievable comeback by McMahon/BYU. Good side, SMU v Nevada, Hawaii Bowl a few years ago.

Cincy at Pitt in 2009. Amazing football game that had it all as a fan. Capped off an undefeated year and a conference championship. Close second would be Marquette at UC in 2002 when Marq had Wade.

Greatest ever in a losing effort was the UC/UConn conf tournament game in Orlando last year.

Greatest neutral game was probably Pitt and Butler in the 2011 NCAA tourney round of 32. What a cluster that ending was.

I was at that game also. My father was a huge UT fan and he and I went. I remember it very well.

Dewey Warren VS Gary Beban. Memphis native Tommy Protho was HC of the Bruins and didn't like how the officials called the game and stated "I'm ashamed to be a southerner" after the game.

Last game of the regular season with UCLA going to the Rose Bowl and UT was going to the Bluebonnet Bowl, so that game was given the "RoseBonnet Bowl" name.

Temple 27 psu 10 in 2015. Temple had lost 30+ times in a row to them, and we were dogs in this one. Full stadium at the Linc, serenading the nit fans as they left in droves at the end of the 3rd quarter.

Temple 34 Navy 10 American Conference Championship game 2016. You had to have seen the 25 years of football futility for the Owls to understand how huge this was.

UCF, Houston 2013. Was a great defensive game between two teams known for their offense. Sold out game for a full AAC conference game. Houston drove late, got to 4th and goal and the stadium had never been louder.

Next one would be the first time we beat Memphis

I went pro (Mavs) for mine. College is a tough choice. Basketball was the opening of renovated Moody against UConn. It was our first AAC conference game in front of a packed house where we controlled the game from the tip. A perfect night. Football was 2011 against TCU when we won in OT. I believe that was TCU's only loss and kept them out of a BCS game.

Ya. While I know we have a knack for losing at Moody, there was no school that would have beat you that night in that atmosphere. It was electric on TV...can't imagine how it was in person.

How can you leave out Memphis over Tennessee. Unless, of course, you were not there.

I was there, but I was also like 10...I don't remember much from back then...those 4 are the games I think of most often and I had an absolute blast at those contests.

my 5th place game would be the 2003 New Orleans Bowl...it had been so long of a wait for Memphis to make a bowl there was a lot of hype on our end.

SHREVEPORT, La., Sept. 13, 1997 - SMU 31, Arkansas 9

The very last game I attended with my Father, who was 80 at the time. We spent the weekend together with the extended family in Shreveport. He would live another 12 years, but he never ventured back to any stadiums.

WSU v Florida State, NIT 2003?. Absolutely holy tits loud. Ever been someplace so loud that it quits being loud and just sounds like white noise? Your body vibrates so bad that not only do you not hear yourself, you can't feel yourself talking. Players said the floor normally vibrates when Koch gets loud, but that game the floor shook. There was no communicating. Refs could blow their whistles, but had to put hands on players to get their attention to stop play. One went on for 10-15 seconds before play got stopped. The PA system might as well been unplugged. Not the best game ever played, not a great game to watch, but one of those times that you will NEVER forget.

RE: greatest game you ever attended
For me it was a regular season game between Tulsa and Arkansas in the 1993-94 basketball season. Nolan Richardson brought his Razorbacks into Tulsa ranked number 1. Arkansas ended up winning 93-91 in overtime after three Tulsa players, including top scorer Gary Collier, fouled out. That was the most exciting and loudest game I have ever seen. Arkansas went on to win the title that year beating TU again in the sweet sixteen.

A special night for sure. It was the rebirth of our program thanks to one man, Larry Brown.
