I should have know this was click bait. Shouldn't this article just say they were basing "value" on attendance since that was obviously the only factor that really matters and even with that I'm not sure they were accurate.
Never mind that the two schools that have won four of the six titles in the two major sports over those three years and brought the most notoriety to the league are located in the mid to bottom half of these so called "value" rankings. I guess there isn't much value in that. LMAO

It appeared to me to be written by a high school sophomore. Getting beyond that, when he/she stated "the program has to deliver more than wins on the field" I knew it would have little to do with wins and more to do with making his/her favorite team rise higher in the ranks utilizing criteria other than winning.
Regardless, it's one person's opinion and I'm OK with that. Everyone has an opinion.

What exactly is your point since I'm not disputing that or saying anything to the contrary. Doesn't change the fact that MT and wkcc have won four of the last six titles in those two sports. I guess I could have said four out of the last four and we could avoided this altogether.

He writes about Southern Miss, so of course he's playing attendance ball. ODU is a quality member, but #1 is a joke.

If "Value Rankings" mean most likely to ever get an invite to the AAC, then ODU is probably #1.

Why not be a journalist and just do your job and confirm the fact. Lazy.
Quote:According to WKU, the Hilltoppers have claimed a total of 21 C-USA regular season titles or C-USA tournament titles over the last three years, outpacing Rice (10) and UTEP (8).

Not to be disrespectful, but they've been saying this 2005 when they both joined the Sun Belt.

I'm just going to do football & basketball if you want to add others go for it. But from where I sit FIU won more than UNT in both sports in the 3 years Western has been in CUSA. Not far from UNCC in basketball. FAU is a step below but lets be honest...not much.
So point out to me again why those two are way below UNT?

Not to be disrespectful, but they've been saying this 2005 when they both joined the Sun Belt.
And both have won a football championship in that time frame. How many other schools in this conference can say that?

RE: CUSA "value rankings"...
I agree with where we're placed. Our basketball and baseball facilities suck, and I'm talking through boba straws. I've given our university a pass on that so far, to a certain extent, because we're still a young university (having only been established in 1969), but my patience is running out.
There are some schools who are about our age, whose facilities are much nicer, which is attributed in some cases to factors beyond our control, but it's time we step up. And btw, this conversation has run its course on RowdyTalk several times over, but it won't be resolved until we choose a new president, so we're all kinda sitting in limbo right now, waiting anxiously.

RE: CUSA "value rankings"...
Getting back to the original story, no way in hell would I rank UAB 4.
And probably the worst statement in the whole story is the one that says 'The USM baseball team ranks with WKU football and MTSU basketball as the best programs going in C-USA.' Sorry USM but Rice baseball still is ahead of you even with its poor 2017 season.
I do agree that FAU and FIU's struggles are puzzling. I was hoping they wouldn't be much of a step down from UCF and USF, but that just hasn't been the case. I do have more hope that FAU can turn the corner. FIU might be moving in the right direction in baseball.

More of just sour La Tech and So. Miss being sour newer programs have more value.
It must have been funny when back they were like "Hahahaha no way UCF and ECU have more value than us."
