I saw that the other day too, but he says "continue his academic career" not athletic so I wasn't sure if that meant he was also playing football or just going to NIU as a student. I guess we'll find out

He is the 6'3 DE from Morgan Park. Stunned we have DE recruit that can run like that. His profile says 36" vertical. Jocks like that play early and play often.

He's listed at 200 lbs though, he'd have to put on 20 lbs just to be similar in weight to one of the smallest DE's we've had.

Jawon definitely needs a year or two in the weight room. Get him up to 230 or 240 and with that speed he'd have the potential to be special.

Jordan Rowell came in second in the long jump but didn't run in the finals. It appears he may have had an injury because in the 100 prelims he was listed as coming in at 13.66 which was about 2 seconds behind the guy in front of him.

Jordan is a sub 11 guy. Probably the second fastest guy on the team next to Wesley.

Wow, that's crazy. Talk about taking a hit to the program. I remember Pearson. He was the guy flip flopping on his NIU commitment then decided WKU on the eve of signing. I think it worked out for NIU.

I was not aware of any grade issues. Also, I don't believe he has ran any collegiate track to date. But he has an official IHSA 100m time of 10.74. That's faster than any recent Huskie that I can find.

Randy seemed to have implied that Wesley had off the field issues (looked like grades) that could keep him off the field based on what he wrote in this thread.
