Actually, every WAC team has 13 Player of the Year candidates right now (15, if you include walk-ons). Can you post those videos, too, please?

I might be in the minority with Frank on this, but I tend to agree with him here. I think NMSU will win the WAC next year even with a new coach

Good news is message board majorities & minorities don't mean a thing when it comes to actual games being played. My biggest question is "Who is Frank working so hard to convince that NMSU will be the best in the WAC: Us or himself?"

I don't need to convince you that NMSU is the best in the WAC because NMSU is the best in the WAC. We have probably the most talented basketball team in the WAC with one of the best X's and O's coaches in the nation.

NMSU also has two WAC Player of the Year Candidates.

This Aggie basketball team is going to be fun to watch next season.

"With one of the best X's and O's coaches in the nation"???? CA, this is a bit of an exaggeration wouldn't you say?. We don't know how good of an X&O coach Jans is just yet. We (Aggie fans) suspect he is an upgrade from Menzies (unimaginative) and Weir (greenhorn). And, I might goes as far as to say Jans could be one of the best X&O coaches in the WAC. But that's about the most we should say right now.

I guess you haven't been listening to Wichita State fans. Maybe you should. If the guy won 20 games at Bowling Green, you have to be a good X's and O's coach. Just saying. If it wasn't for his incident, the guy would be head coach at a big time P5 program right now so if I was you I would just calm down.

I have no doubt Coach Jans was a main cog in Wichita State's ascent. But I think we need to see him on the sidelines at NMSU (winning games) before we can proclaim him as one of the best X&O coaches in the nation. Despite our criticisms, Menzies and Weir were still very good coaches in the WAC. If Jans proves to be a better coach than either of them then there is a legit argument that Jan could be the best coach in the WAC... And, maybe one of the better coaches nationally.

One a side note, besides my enthusiasm about Jans being the Aggie coach, I am a little curious to see what Hayford can do at Seattle. If he can turn lemons into lemonade, he might be in the running for WAC COTY.

Chris Jans won 20 games at Bowling Green. The guy coaching ability did that. It wasn't the talent like Menzies and Weir relied on here at NMSU. NMSU actually has themselves a quality basketball coach now who is one of the best in the business. Why do you think Creighton had just offered him their top assistant job? He took over a 12-20 Bowling Green squad and went 21-12 in his first year. The dude is a proven winner.

Majrele has won 20 games the past two season and he is a terrible x's and o's guy, so your point is moot

Majrele wouldn't win 20 games at Bowling Green. That is my point. Chris Jans led Bowling Green to their 2nd 20 win season in over 30 years with mediocre basketball squad in his first year. Jans is inheriting a very good basketball team at NMSU. He inherited two WAC Player of the Year Candidates, the best sixth man in the WAC, a solid 6'10 forward, and the 80th rated 2015 recruit. We know he can coach. We know he'll be able to recruit better players to NMSU than he did at Bowling Green. Aggie basketball is going to be fun to watch the next couple of years.

Obviously you didn't really research the team Jans coached at Bowling Green. He coached an NBA 2nd round draft pick in Richaun Holmes (6'10", 245-lbs) in that one season at Bowling Green. Jans just made better use of that team's talent than the previous coach (Louis Orr). Orr left Jans talent to work with that season.

To be honest, I don't think Jans has much more talent on this Aggie squad than the one he had to work with at Bowling Green. He will need to add more capable bodies if he wants to match what the Traitor did last season.

I disagree with you. If Bowling Green had just as much talent, they would have not finished in last place in the MAC in 2014 and 2016. It was the coaching ability of Chris Jans for Bowling Green success in 2015, and why Richaun Holmes turned into a NBA draft pick. Let's give Chris Jans the credit he deserves.

If the guy won 20 games at Bowling Green, you have to be a good X's and O's coach. Just saying. If it wasn't for his incident, the guy would be head coach at a big time P5 program right now so if I was you I would just calm down.

I did give Jans credit. He obviously out coached Orr and the coach who followed him at Bowling Green to pull off 21 wins in his one season. I am just point out that Jans was working with more than just scrubs on that Bowling Green team. Richaun Holmes was (is) a good player. Jans just put his talent to better use than Orr...because Jans is a good coach. He will probably improve Chuha's game in the same manner. But Bowling Green did have talent when Jans got there. It is obvious Louis Orr could recruit, he just couldn't coach a lick.
