Jeff Lebo is still in, might be the longest coach in college basketball history with the worst results.

It's being reported that UMass has cancelled their press conference introducing Pat Kelsey. As in, fans and media came in, then were ushered right back out. What on earth is going on up there?

UMass update: Jeff Goodman is reporting that Kelsey has had a change of heart and is not accepting the Minutemen job. Wowzers.

Lower profile than Winthrop/Kelsey/UMass but basically the same thing happened with South Dakota/Craig Smith/Drake yesterday. I really had high hopes for him when he was an assistant at Clemson, and had he not already taken the HC job at WKU he likely would have replaced Rick Barnes when he jumped to Texas. His stint at UGA really took the shine off his star.

That's crazy what happened at UMass. Still puzzled why you fire a guy that has the best returning team in the conference.

Interesting that both OK State and Cal filled their vacancies by promoting one of their assistants rather than search outside. That slows down the carousel, if only by a little.
