That's not the starting lineup. Not going to say who we are after because it's unfair to get people's hopes up and have even more resentment towards this staff if we Miss on them

RE: AAC Fans - Who does your basketball team lose/gain next year?
Dear mods,

Please stop these discriminatory threads on this forum. Those of us with no basketball program, and no hope of one, are constantly subjected to these threads which make us feel like 2nd class citizens, and that goes against the American snowflake way.

I urge you, as the leaders of this forum, to stand up against basketball privilege and close all threads about basketball as soon as they appear.

Thanks,

GrayBeard

The degree of fan's praise or condemnation about the 2017-18 class is dependent on the results Tubby actually produces. It will not matter if they are unaware of misses.

I know and I'm on Team Tubby but I just am very apprehensive about next year.

Same. It looks like they are cleaning house. We will be good in year 3 or 4. We always come back.

To early to tell with USF.
We had no seniors but will lose some to transfers due to coaching change. How many still to be determined.
We could be even worse next year. As I said it will take years for USF to recover.

RE: AAC Fans - Who does your basketball team lose/gain next year?
Tulane coach Mike Dunleavy Sr. says sophomore guards Kain Harris and Von Julien, as well as freshman forward Darian Jones, have been granted releases from the men's basketball program and will transfer.

Dunleavy, in a news release Wednesday, said all three are great kids and he wishes them the best.

Harris, of Chicago, was Tulane's fourth-leading scorer in 2016-17, averaging 9.1 points and 18.4 minutes per game.

Julian, of New Orleans, came off the bench in 17 games and averaged 2.5 points and 1.0 rebound in 12 minutes per game.

Jones, of Brusly, Louisiana, averaged 1.6 minutes of action in 10 games. He scored two points with one rebound and an assist in the Nov. 29 contest at New Orleans.

Still a couple scholarships available, which is embarrassing. Word is we are close on a couple HS bigs that flew under the radar, as well as a potential transfer.

We'll see.

Ollie sucks. He won with Calhoun's kids. I can see them staying down, permanently. Kids they will be recruiting today don't care what they did five years ago.

Tank Efianayi - limited minutes due to injury to end the year

I'm not convinced Tako comes back. He's getting attention on espn now in the UCF NIT run. He reminds me of a Shawn Bradley. A 7'6 guy with one year of college (BYU) who suddenly out of nowhere got some national attention because of his height leading to a #1 pick in the NBA draft. Tako is better than Bradley.

Well, at least he won with someone's kids. Cronin can't even get a conference title.

This is not the same NBA that Bradley played in. Fall has a long way to go to have any type of impact in the league.

Had one before you guys, so wrong. I don't take pleasure in this at all, but UConn's program is headed on a sharp downward trajectory. They were an 80 foot shot from not making the tournament 3 straight years. The league needs them to be good and quick.

No you didn't. AAC's gone Louisville-SMU-UConn-SMU. Don't try to claim a one-seed as a championship.

Wait, lol. Are you trying to claim the regular season doesn't count? Hahahahahaha.

You do realize that only the ACC has that rule right? Almost every other conference declares a season champion and a tournament champion, who is awarded the automatic bid to the tournament.

That is true, but NBA teams still draft on potential.

Yes, I am claiming that the regular season "championship" is a glorified participation trophy, in any conference, and the idea of crowing two equal, separate "champions" in the same conference in the same sport every year is stupid. Houston didn't get an award for being the conference football team that rose highest in the polls over the course of the year, but I'm sure Villanova will be thrilled to hear that they're actually exiting this tournament as the defending back-to-back national champions. The team that gets the AQ won the conference.

No one person would consider the conference championship of lesser value than the conference tournament champion. I surmise the reason the Ncaa chooses the tournament winner is because of simplicity and added drama to the process. Who would watch the conference tournaments if the bid was not at stake. With the bid attached to the tournament, they can soak John sports fan for an additional week. The Houston analogy makes no sense.
