THERE IS AN OMNIPOTENT TROLL NAMED "p23570" WHO IS ATTACKING THE BOARD IN WAYS I HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE.

THIS GUY MAKES BIG EAST HOMER LOOK LIKE THE POPE.

I AM ASKING YOU ALL TO PUT ASIDE YOUR DIFFERENCES, SAVE YOUR BATTLES FOR A LATER DAY, AND COME TOGETHER.

IMAGINE A SMART VERSION OF BIG EAST HOMER WHO ACTUALLY KNOWS A LITTLE ABOUT FOOTBALL, AND PERHAPS MORE VICIOUS.

HE MAY NOT HAVE A THOUSAND USERNAMES LIKE BEH (Tigersmoke, Phil Lacio etc etc etc) BUT HE IS MUCH MORE DANGEROUS.

WE NEED TO STICK TOGETHER. SIMPLE. WE SHALL CODE NAME p23570 the following: C3-PO. WE SHALL MAKE A MOCKERY OF THIS TROLL.

IF ANYONE SEES p23570 (AKA C3-PO) REPORT HIM AND REFER TO HIM AS THIS CODE NAME.

THANK YOU ALL.

The AAC will get 2 in. Unless Houston wins the AAC tourney. There's a way for 3 plus an auto bid to get in if Houston wins out, and Mrmphis wins the AAC tourney. Only 4 decent programs out of the 11. Tubby would be off the hot seat if Memphis can win the AAC. If not? Maybe time for Tubby to leave. He's getting old.
Cheers!

I am assuming you are joking. Never heard of a first year coach being on the hotseat. It's not like he inherited a stacked roster

He inherited enough to not lose by 30 to UCF.

Cheers!

It appears something happened the last few weeks as this team seems very different. I know someone mention something with Lawson sr but the program in my opinion needs to be gutted and rebuilt. Makes no sense they can't be a perennial power but hiring recruits parents to get recruits isn't the way to do it. Good programs don't operate like that.

A good program should also not be allowed to let outgoing head coach pick his son as the next coach.
There are 2 father/son families on the staff, Smith's and Lawson's.
This was such a bad hire.

He may not be on the hot seat but I continue to be less of a fan of them because of him. The powers that be for the university signed our death certificate the day they gave Pastner the bank. They get bailed out by GT and then they again hire the wrong guy for too much money.

Uh the people that were responsible for Pastner aren't here anymore.

You are making a lot of assumptions. Saul isn't the head coach in waiting.

Sorry, I was referring to the boosters that paid his salary.

Think we have the #4 rated class in the conference behind SMU, UConn, and Temple. We are looking to add more this offseason. Be cool if we can get the 4* bigman we been on.

Tubby won the lottery when he got to coach Kentucky that year. He's been living on that glory ever since. He was mecicore at best at Minnesota. He's up there in age. I don't see him doing much in the short time he will be at Memphis. I could be wrong, we shall see.
Cheers!

Tubby is recognize for all the teams he has taken to the NCAA tourney. Tulsa, Georgia, UK, Minny, and Texas Tech. That last two jobs are hard as hell to win at and he took those teams to the NCAA's and even put out UCLA in the first round.

If you are going to make a statement like that, at least provide more substance. That was an lazy assessment and conclusion.

I'm just saying a tomato could win it all at Kentucky. Is there a program anywhere with more built in success? Tulsa used to have a very good basketball program, and Minnesota and Texas Tech had some solid years before Tubby. Tech had Dickey and Bobby Knight do well before Tubby and Minnesota was a final 4 team and always solid leading up to the time before Tubby. Tubby always takes jobs at programs like Memphis:very good, highly supported programs.
Cheers!

Your argument is going down the drain. You shouldn't have engaged in this with that statement.

None of what you said supports anything on why he is going to be in the HOF. Usually when a coach takes a job at another school, it is because the previous coach put the program in the crapper or moved on. Tulsa and Kentucky were the only jobs that the previous coach moved on. The other jobs were in a bad spot from the previous coach and he came in and turned them into NCAA tourney teams. He got fired from UK because of not meeting expectations (championships). His firing at Minnesota was unfair. He had just upset UCLA in the previous round before losing the next round. Minnesota was trying to strike first with the new hot coach in Richard Pitino. Hasn't really worked out that well.

Otherwise please tell me how he isn't a good coach.

Tubby isn't a good coach because Memphis lost by 30 to UCF, lost by 41 to SMU, didn't motivate his players and finished with a bad record in the worst year for this conference in over 20 years--counting it as BE & CUSA--from 1995 to this year. My argument is not going "down the drain" Nor was it a "lazy conclusion" Many Memphis fans are now saying that they hope Tubby doesn't coach at Memphis next year.
Cheers!
