Duke will play in Greenville. Could face Uni of South Carolina in 2nd round.

UNC is also in Greenville.

not seeing any tournament games in NYC.

it is weird in my view that teams in different regions play in same location in early rounds.

they basically have given a no. 7 seed USC home court in the first two rounds.

Thanks, GOP, for giving us HB2!

GOP didn't give you HB2. the far left radical kooks like you in CHarlotte did and you guys could not be elected anywhere outside of places like Berkeley. anybody who thinks a man can become a woman is nuts. that is a delusion that you and other people want to pander to. if somebody tells you that they are a horse, you and liberals would want to build a stable for them. perhaps take a ride on them. lol

HB2 just overturned the radical Charlotte ordinance which forced private businesses to allow males with mental illness to use female restrooms. the city of Charlotte never had any legal ground to pass an ordinance like that which doesn't interest lawless liberals like you. i suspect if Greenville passed a law banning abortions, all of a sudden you guys would have an interest in the rule of law.

i'm not going to be going to any of the games in Greenville so what is it that I need to be thankful for. the NCAA isn't cutting checks to residents of Greenville as far as I know. lol

why don't you and other left wingers on here take your politics over to the Daily Kos website. this is a sports forum. it is far left people like that are driving people away from ESPN and sports in general b/c we don't want to listen to you soapbox. you have to politicize everything.

i'm not it sure it is even true these first round games are in Greenville b/c of the HB2 law. if my memory serves, tournament games have been played in Greenville before.

i never said that. the point, he wasn't professional, dumping on the host of a tournament.

You make some dumb inferences. not suprising given you think playing games in NYC is necessary for ACC to get exposure and your assertion "NYC is the mecca of college basketball'. lol

i started this thread, and I didn't introduce politics, one of your leftwing buddies did. seem like every topic on here there is a Democrat is talking about HB2. i note that you didn't talk down to the guy who mentioned HB2 on a topic about the basketball tournament. obviously he was off topic and forcing his politics on the forum. you don't have a problem with politics in general as long as the politics are your politics.

How about you stay off my topics. you are one of the weirdest people on here.

RE: Big Dance
I see Cuse only had two wins away from Syracuse. One of those was at Clemson where they got lucky to win with a last second 3 from the corner. they also lost 5 out of last 7.

i must say I am happy that they didn't make it because if they had, that one shot at Clemson is what put them in.

A 14-19 St. Johns team gave Cuse a 33 point beatdown at Cuse. wow. that must be that NYC talent.

ok, i'm going to stop giving you attention, New York Superfan. MSG being a mecca of basketball is an opinion, not a fact. most of the bball played there is the Knicks and that is a mecca of rotten basketball.

it is a fricking arena. the people who gush about it like NYC, has nothing to do with the arena itself.

i don't have any d--- problem with some ACC tournaments being held in NY. what is the problem. you acting like this is a Gboro vs NYC competition. i'm in favor of them moving it around some to include smaller metroes like the ones in SC.

Charleston is a popular city with the people, why couldn't they have it there. a good central location, and better weather in March than up north.

Clemson got a number 2 seed in NIT. They will play Oakland who won their conference regular season but lost in tournament. Looks like a rematch with Bama in 2nd round.

says the NYC Superfan. you take it personally if a person doesn't gush over NYC like you do. you didn't back up anything you said about it related to basketball.

i don't want to relitigate that discussion tonight on this tournament topic. talk about the tournament or go post on NYC websites. i never expressed opposition to them playing some tournaments up there, i simply don't think it helps recruiting or is needed for ACC exposure.

i looked and Cuse only played two games in the NYC metro this year during regular season, one at MSG and one in Brooklyn. so the coach that says it is so important to play games there for recruiting only played two games there during the season. lol he's the coach most likely to land any good NYC recruits and he only played two games there. obviously he doesn't even believe what he said.

We are having a breakthrough...I agree with some of that...I'm okay with rotating the site around. Where I disagree is playing it in Greenville and Charleston. You realize Charleston's arena seats about 14,000 and is out in North Charleston? It hosted the CAA tourney this year. While Charleston is a great location for visitors there is no viable arena. I already gave my opinion on Greenville, SC. In fact GTS said no way for Men's Basketball and he lives there.

You only have one more year to hate on him....after that I expect you'll see him on TV or in selection committees. The guy knows his hoops and watches a ton of basketball in season.

RE: Big Dance
if Gville's arena works for Duke, UNC, Arkansas, and SC in the Big Dance next week, it would work for ACC tourney. you would have more ACC fans at the game, which doesn't seem to be your priority, because it is closer to most ACC fans than NYC. they were giving away tickets for 6 dollars for the tournament this year. people would be paying standard price to see a game in Greenville or Charleston. there were only like 1000 more in Brooklyn than the capacity of Greenville's arena despite the low ticket prices.

Brooklyn's arnea isn't near Times Square. i don't think too many people care much about Brooklyn itself. so that kind of negates your Charleston argument.

let's put it this way. Mary tyler Moore, AMerica's sweetheart, grew up in Brooklyn. SHe said when she was young, her goal was to get the h-- out of Brooklyn. lol

i'm assuming only reason it was in Brooklyn this year is it is cheaper than renting MSG. i think if it is held in NYC, it should only be at MSG because it is in Manhattan. they need to make it conducive to the fact so many of the fans are coming from far away and don't want to spend their time in NYC in brooklyn.
