Congrats to him and his family.

Saw David in the pic with Bryce and family and Mooney on UR's campus today....blasphemy 05-nono

I wonder? Did the Tribe even try to recruit this kid? If not, why not? One would think we had a good relationship with the family after David's success at W&M. And if the kid is good enough to be recruited by Richmond.................

Got his offers in July from UR, Mount St Mary's, ECU, JMU, Texas Tech (Tubby Smith is his godfather). Dad to VATech, brother to W&M. Imagine he wanted to cut his own path. Another SG may not be our priority for 2017.

Out of Russellville HS. Has some nice comments.

"Bradshaw plays defense like his hair is on fire and uses his 80″ wingspan to deny opponents near the bucket. He plays with passion and is an unselfish player.

Bradshaw cleans the boards too. Again his length, strength, & athleticism allow him to get the ball if it’s within his reach."

Hope no offense was taken. Was just a weak attempt at humor.

"Visit to William & Mary when I go back home for thanksgiving break."

6'5 guard Marquis Godwin

I really like Godwin's game but have the gut feeling he will be the Nick Sherrod for the Tribe's 2017 class. Meaning, W&M will stick around as one of his top schools and then he'll pick Richmond.

Not sure how much chance we'll have of wrestling Broughton from the likes of Vanderbilt, Clemson and bigger schools, but would be a major impact get for us if we did. Work some influence Omar and Jack.

It's still early for 2017s. You know how it goes. It's important as a mid major to build a connection with these kids even if the majors are talking to them. He's probably projected out as a 3 star borderline HM / MM+. Any of those schools can and may recruit over him leaving a less desirable situation or no spot at all. What worries me more is the recent Lehigh offer. They are strong recruiters & managed to steal away a number of recruits the coaches were high on.

What does Lehigh have that out sells W&M?

RE: 2017 Men's Basketball Recruiting
My only guess is a chance to play right away. School is very comparable in a lot of ways. Conference stinks and the weather stinks.

I don't think it's a school vs school thing. I think they recruit well and get these kids to buy in to their vision. I don't mean this as a knock against the tribe coaches, I think they are recruiting just fine. It's just an observation.

...and the guys at Lehigh are going "Why would he want to play at W&M?" Point of View is a natural bias.

Also, the fact that we've never been to the tournament is a turn off for some and an attractive challenge for others. I know many a tribe recruit was quoted that they wanted to make history as a factor in their decision.
