Wow, I wouldn't have imagined that Georgia Southern would have lost to Georgia State under any circumstances. I guess that's why they play these games rather than letting us "board" gamers call the shots.

Georgia State was an entirely different team from Mid October on. Georgia Southern walked into the game believing they had already won, and things happened.

The SB had a down year. Lots of winnable games in conference play.

Some of it was down, some bad luck. stAte doesn't lose to Missouri, and gives Toledo a much better game if they don't lose their starting QB for both games. Georgia Southern cost themselves a win at Georgia. Take two of those, and the league is probably not ranked last in the G5 standings.

ULL having an utter disaster of the season is what really hurt. They were expected to challenge for the league.
