RE: Conference Realignment
BYU
Texas Tech
TCU
Baylor
Oklahoma
Oklahoma State
Kansas State
Iowa State
Cincinnati
West Virginia

Just for discussion sake:

1) Would the above stay in the P5?
2) Would the Big 12 then actually go 12 teams again?
3) If, yes, what other two teams would be added?

That's simply because the same people refuse to drop the subject, even when nobody is seriously considering anything.

The fact that both scenarios you proposed leave out the top team in the AAC (UCF) that have more + than - going for them has me perplexed. I can see your basketball slant but UH? The B12 is already all over TX, UH provides zero advantages.

I don't see the Big 12 adding a commuter school.

Just a heads up... we have more student housing than UF or FSU. We aren't a commuter school.

I agree that the Big 12 would be wise to add Cincinnati and Memphis.

UConn would also be a good addition, except its so bloody far away.

UCF and USF added as a pair would set up a huge Big 12 presence in the rich Florida recruiting area, plus it would give the conference instant travel partners. And it doesn't hurt that Orlando and Tampa are huge metropolitan marketing areas...

Pretty sure we all need to accept that if the league does expand, Houston is going to be in. The real interesting part is who would be #12. UC and UCF are both strong candidates IMO

UH, why would they add a market they already have access to? That makes zero fiscal sense. New markets equal more money.

Much more likely is UConn forgetting about football altogether, and rejoining the Big East non-football programs. Trying to field a major college football program in New England is an exercise in futility.
