Troy

They are the program that comes to mind when I think of the SBC.... I can't wait to start a rivalry with those guys... and I really like the phrase "keep it down home, cuz"

RE: Who's your 2nd fav SBC program?
I'm getting the impression that Appalachian State fans and Troy fans will get along quite well. I'm also getting the impression that Georgia Southern fans want to be rivals with Troy as I understand it. So there is a divide among the two new members. But with USA and UAB, I don't think we'll have room. The USA rivalry is heating up faster than expected.

If I had to make a comparison I'd say GS fans remind me of Louisiana fans and Appalachian State fans remind me of FAU fans. They are certainly the calmer bunch.

Guessing Liberty would be your #1 fav since your voted your own school as #2?

I found it hard seeing nobody voted for NMSU broke my heart a little bit actually 03-weeping

I voted NMSU. Mainly because it most resembles my favorite. Land Grant school with good academics, had a tough run at FBS because of our location and population. And, they were our independent/WAC leftover/homeless FBS brothers. Plus, they have a basketball program that I envy. Idaho's BB isn't far behind though.

UL because they've been the most fun to play so far. App St is a close second seeing they have a great location and I think I would have loved going to school there.

My 2nd favorite team in the SBC would be Troy. Although Louisiana, Arkansas St., and UALR are close behind. Actually I like all the schools in the Belt plus the new ones arriving soon.

If that's the criteria, I'm going USA for two reasons:

1. We won
2. 4th and 27

I must say I've enjoyed the quiet lack of arrogance since the recruiting battle ended. Clearly you've recovered. Of course the instate rivalry get's my motor running but if I must choose a "favorite program" it will have to be ULL. I like cajuns and find many similarities between the south Georgia redneck and the coon ars.04-cheers

I'm from this state. All the Georgia schools and programs like to run their mouths. Even the ones that suck.

04-cheers That's quality posting there. When we need to know how cool crap fans are we'll be sure and ask you. Course you'll share your thoughts anyway.

I know it's quite wrong of me to share my thoughts on a forum. My bad.

I chose TxSt because I feel we will develop into rivalries eventually. Looking forward to visiting San Marcos. AState close second.
