Do you see Texas at Pan American and Texas A&M Corpus Christi joining the Southland Conference?
Might need someone to replace ULM.
Oral Roberts University might need a new home soon!!! 03-weeping
Is ORU planning on leaving the Mid Con?
Central Arkansas and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi joined the Southland Conference before the 2006 season. UCA will begin competing in the SLC in football in the 2007 season.
I guess it's time to look at the future of the Southland again. With UTSA & Texas State likely headed to the WAC, but Lamar playing a conference schedule next year, does the conference look to add teams to get back to 12? Is a ten team league (eight for football) good for the conference? Who gets in?

UALR might need to get out of the Sun Belt now that they're the only non-football school in that conference.
Oral Roberts is closer to most of the schools in the Southland than the Summit, and would bring in some quality programs.
Houston Baptist and UTPA would most likely jump at the chance to get a shot at the NCAA Big Dance, but with all due respect, they do not have the same prestige as the two previously mentioned schools.
Some schools have been mentioned as being ready to upgrade to D-I from D-II, and this could also restock the football ranks.
It'll be interesting to watch how this all plays out.
