With the 2003 NFL Draft upon us this weekend, give us the list of candidates your respective school has potentially going in!!! And what round do you see them going in?
I'll give you the lowdown on Ole Miss players possibly going later after I compile it, not that there are that many, just haven't thought about this in a while.
Cedric Williams (OL) and Langston Moore (OL) are roughly in the same boat as the other draft-eligible Gamecock seniors:
Wide receiver James Adkisson, running back Andrew Pinnock, defensive end Dennis Quinn, defensive backs Corey Jenkins and Rashad Faison, and offensive linemen Shane Hall and Watts Sanderson.
Andrew Pinnock is projected as high as the third round, the rest as later round choices or free agents.
Derek Watson is from SC State, but he might go if someone takes a chance on him.
It looks like three will be drafted (Williams, Pinnock, and Moore) unless a surprise happens.

Right now, LB Eddie Strong, LB Matt Grier, and TE Doug Ziegler come to mind as possibilities for the Rebels, but there are a few more I'm sure.
Note: Ziegler had a season-ending leg injury early in the year last season, so I'm not sure how the scouts will look at that.
Not really good on predicting rounds and stuff, what am I, Mel Kiper, Jr.? :D But here is what I think will happen with the players from State looking for work on Saturday and Sunday.
Korey Banks~probably a second day pick, has good return skills but needs to work on his deep speed in order to keep up with receivers in the NFL.
Donald Lee~with strong showings at the combine, may go first day, but low rounds.
Mario Haggan~will probably not go until the second day, is a good linebacker but not in the same mold as the backer from Maryland, Henderson, my guess is that whoever gets him will convert him to a DT, which would not be a stretch since he played it two years ago at State in one of the dumbest moves I have ever seen.
Justin Griffith~interesting, not really a conventional NFL tailback nor fullback but I think his work ethic and his pass catching abilities out of the backfield will get him drafted, again probably second day.
Dontae Walker~though he did quit on us last year, he has been working out down around my part of Mississippi preparing for the draft. To be honest with you, he has the tools, but I don't think he has the heart for it, probably will be a free agent signing at best.

May be best-suited to be a movable TE/H-back in the mold of Titans TE Frank Wycheck.

I think you're not giving Haggan enough credit, 64, he is a great LB, and I think he will go sooner than you think. He is as talented as any other LB that will be drafted ahead of him. He may have more to prove than some others, but he will.

well actually I give him a lot of credit, and I think he would make a fine linebacker for any team, just not sure if most of the "experts" think he will go on Saturday either, I hope he does to be honest with ya.
Not to take anything away from the other LBs in the draft this year, I know there are some great ones, but I think Haggan is right up there with the elite. He'll go soon.
Haggan doesn't have the speed that the scouts want for an NFL LB, and he's not big enough to play DE. He'll probably go somewhere in the middle rounds.
I think he'll be a productive player for someone. He may not have the speed, but he definitely has the instinct and heart.

Alright I'll help you out.
RB Musa Smith: Might be the best RB in the draft
OL Jon Stinchcomb: Excellent college player; could be a first round pick
OL George Foster: I hear he could go in the early second round
OL Kareem Marshall: Likely a 4th or 5th round pick
DL Johnathan Sullivan: Sure first round pick, possibly top 20
LB Boss Bailey: UGA's best pro prospect; may go top 12 or 13
LB Tony Gilbert: Have not heard much about him; 5th or 6th round maybe
Fringe Players: WR Terrence Edwards, LB Chris Clemons

Can't remember who I heard it from. I don't think he is the best either, that's just what I've heard.
I realize he's not SEC....but I've been hearing a lot of controversy over the decision to make Palmer first pick....saying that he's not smart enough to make it and that Cinci shouldn't have gone after a franchise type player but filled holes they desperately need filled. Anyway, I thought I'd ask everyone's thoughts.

I, for one, will have Palmer's back in this matter. He is a very smart QB, and had had to overcome a lot in his playing days at USC. He has had to endure 3 (I think) different Off. Coords. and two different head coaches
in his tenure there, struggling a bit his first three years because of that, but once he found the OC for him and of course Pete Carroll, he was brilliant. I saw him play live his freshman year and I remember thinking this kid will be special. I saw him play again in his sophomore year, and twice more this past season in his senior year, and I will tell you he is awesome. As a QB going in the first round to Cinci has, in the past, been an occupational death wish, but if anyone can break that mold, Carson can.
