“I want to play the big boys. I want to know where we stand. I want to go against those guys and learn what makes them great,” Hardaway said. Said he’d call Calipari, he’d call Duke, he’d call Michigan State. Wants to schedule tough because that’s what the fans want.
This is like Christmas in March!!! 02-13-banana

It really is, it is INCREDIBLE.

Easily the nicest uniforms we have ever had were when Penny played.

Wooooooooow

That is ridiculously cool
GO TIGERS GO!!
I like the goal, but it may be a challenge to obtain. The Bluebloods may not want to play home and home and it is understanding we are required to play a certain number of home games per FedEx agreement.

We only had 1 really good OOC schedule the entire time Cal was here. The only way this happens is if Nike is involved. I know that scheduling is tight, but it would be incredible if Penny's first game could be at home against Kentucky. That would blow the roof off ratings wise.
Let’s do it, we have to get back to where we were. I’ve been nervous and excited all in one, and it has been a long time.
I love this - Penny ain’t scared! Finally we got a coach who gets it

Define "really good."

Also ESPN needs to wield influence.

They are the driver in marquee non-conference games. With the hype surrounding Penny and (hopefully) some talented additions to a solid roster, Memphis could be relevant enough for ESPN to create a big matchup.

Might want to let Penny get a few studs in the corral before you go doing that...

That had to be the Rose year. We had FOUR ranked non-conference teams, Georgetown, Arizona, Tennessee and Gonzaga all at home. Played Oklahoma (Blake Griffin), UConn, Southern Cal (OJ Mayo) and Cincinnati on the road.

That team was battle-tested to the extreme. Never seen anything like it before or since.
I know Duke doesn’t play any marquee OOC games unless it’s one of those early tournaments or ACC vs B10 challenges types. Maybe the networks would want to include Memphis in one of those preseason tournaments if we have some top players
Cajones.
