Crying all over twitter about the PC being open to the public.
Taxpayer $$$?? What is this guy talking about?
Must be butthurt cuz others got the story.
Well isn't he special? You would think the guy would have some clue. Somebody buy him a vowel.

Exactly. What is he talking about 15-20 million of taxpayers money being flushed down the drain?
Never understood hiring a beat writer that isn't from here....they will NEVER get it.
True that.
I like Mark and he should ask whatever he damn well pleases if he has a story.

The PC being public also seems odd to me.
I think it would be presser and then a rally as well now that I think about it.

To be clear, I don't care, but I like Mark and see his side here.
What odd timing. He's off on some tangent that could have waited.
I think Mark is a fine reporter on an upward trajectory like many of his predecessors, but today's tweets where not on the highlight reel.
I am lost. Where does he say anything complaining about a public press conference?

Hope he knows what he is doing turning tomorrow in to the Mark Gianotto show won't end well for him.
So Mark, you mean there’s ‘no other time’ to ask a serious question or two to Penny, Rudd or Bowen just because there will be fans there and they might boo negative questions?

This sounds just like George Lapides pretty much lecturing Justin Fuente at the press conference when he was announced as the football coach as a way to show him that he was the elder statesmen of journalism in media

If you are going to take as job such as this one, you really need to do some research before making twitter post. He certainly did not.
Now I officially don't like Mark Giannotto. He isn't a fan and is blasting us for having a pep rally for Penny. F* him
Yeah, seems like a college sportswriter would know that most coaching salary money at many, many schools comes from donors. That's basic stuff.

Does this guy think that KY taxpayers actually pay Cal's salary?

Seems rudimentary.

He must have caught wind of something.

And let the crowd feeding frenzy begin.

A reporter made a fairly innnocuous comment about the idea that we need time for questions concerning some of the more serious issues, and he gets blasted. What is next...go home carpetbagger?

He seems to fully understand the impact of hiring Penny, even advocating that a pep rally seems like a good idea, but that we also need time for real reporters to ask the administration real questions.

And yet now the provincial die is cast. This was not a big deal and he is a good reporter. Tired of beating up Woloshin I guess.

He is already back tracking. He knows he stepped in it

Maybe I missed all of the tough questions from Mark over the last year in the Tubby pressers...
