Actually heard that the Belt had some interest from these 2 schools.

There’s no interest from USM that I know of to join the SunBelt.

Don't have a printed source but was told this at the conference meetings last year.

Why would anybody go to a conference that only plays on one court at a time during their conference tournaments?

No, but we won't be joining the Sun Belt either. If things fall apart, expect USM to grab some schools from the region and making a closer league. If you're on the outskirts, hate to break it to you, but...

There are some that kick around going back to the MAC now and then, but I've not heard from anyone in the know about any interest in the Sunbelt. We already poached the best of the 'belt. There are still quality teams there, but not enough to consider such a move. Would require at least 5 teams also going before I would consider it a positive move. But we'd end up with a bloated conference that would likely implode if that happened. You'd have to cut teams to get teams.

Wouldn't consider going without USM, WKU, MTSU, UAB, and ODU. Would really want FAU and Tech. Would be ok with FIU and Charlotte. Oh wait, that's ten. Second thought just make that conference and add GS and App. Done.

Any player from this league moving to their league would be up for POY. That's the main reason I would not want to go there. No basketball.
