I was enjoying one of the best games (and loudest arenas) I've ever experienced.

I
Was
There
Too
Back to Back!

Was the last time we won a tournament, we were a 2 seed? If that's the case, maybe this is fate. If this isn't the case, please do not bother to correct me and let me have this one

Yes. Mason was the 1 seed, but lost to VCU in the semis.
I WAS THERE TOO!!!

Great game.
Also was there...miss those days. What I wouldn't give to be able to make an easy drive to the tournament now...
I was there with some VCU buddies (yes, I have some of those). I had just left my old job and took a week off before starting my new job. This was most enjoyable.

A week later, after starting my new job, I took a late lunch at Applebee's to watch our NCAA Tournament Game. I haven't been able to eat there since.
My first few years in pep band. I was all the way there

My wife and I were both there. Sat in the lower section, about half way up, near center court. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
I was somewhere on that court. Great time
That's exactly what I miss! Playing close by in Richmond, the rivalry, the competitiveness, Blaine Taylor exciting the fans. Could go on and on. All left when we joined the CUSA. Based on where this program has headed the last couple of years, wished we had stayed with the CAA. Would rather be playing W&M or C of C for the championship close by and have a shot at the dance than where we're at now. I mean how many can get to Frisco Tx to support the team???
Mark B got us some great tickets and that was awesome to beat them on their own turf!
Yup, was there and might be in those pics. That was fun.

Posted from mobile device. Hopefully it's coherent.
I had my whole family there. We went to every tournament until ODU joined CUSA.

I remember it fondly...feasting on VCU's delicious tears!!!
I wasn't at those games, unfortunately. The Monday night championship always was a no go for me. The last CAA tourney I went to was the year afterwards when we lost in the Semi's.

That 2011 team was so good though.
I was there, took off work early. Thought for sure we were going to blow it down the stretch too. Whatever mojo VCU found in the last 10 minutes of that game, they managed to hold onto until the Final 4. This game was not as stressful as the others because we were getting in the tournament regardless. I was also at the 2005 game, which ended with the Loughton-Hunter home run pass and my (future at the time) wife almost got into a fist fight with some ghetto VCU chick in the nosebleeds. Was also at the semifinal game in 2010 before missing the championship game against Waste Management (watched on TV). We fared well against VCU in that building, despite being on essentially theyr home court.

There. I particularly enjoyed watching Dr. Hassell practice dentistry on VCU's over-grabby defender (Nixon?), and Big Blue get in trouble for throwing some suspicious white powder onto the court.
I was there. I went to every CAA tournament from 1995 until CUSA. I truly miss going to the tournament. Good times.
