Either UC, WSU, or UH to win and secure the best possible seed lines in process

or

a fourth team (Temple, Memphis, UCF, etc.) to win it giving the conference a 4th NCAA team, but most likely at the expense of seed lines for a team or two?

Thoughts and why?

Im of the thought, UC, WSU, or UH win, both go as far as possible and all three secure the best seed line as possible.

Then we three are in the big dance with the best chance to advance.

Better to have two teams in the elite 8 and 1 team in the S16 vs four teams out in the second round, or three teams out in the second round and 1 team make the S16 for instance.
Pls beat UConn fast and swiftly in the tournament

This and a Temple/Tulsa win.
I hope Tulsa wins it if we don’t.
Better seeding. A fourth team doesn't mean as much as getting teams out of the first round.

Yep. I think Wichita State's floor is a 4 seed, so Houston beating them and making the championship will go a long way to potentially getting 3 protected seeds in the first round.

I am totally pulling for the Huskies in the Conference tourney...
Go Huskies!

Because no one can win the whole damn thing with say...a 7 seed...

Never said that...just that by nature, the higher seed has a better chance to move on.
IF a fourth team sneaks in I hope its UCF or Tulsa. Either team would represent well in the big dance if they had the chance.
I think Tulsa could pull off a win or two..
I shared this over on the Cincinnati board; it's a breakdown of Final Four/national championship game appearances and championships by seed in the modern tournament era (since 1985):

I am on the side of it's more important to have our 3 at-large teams have the highest seeds possible rather than getting a 4th team in that is unlikely to advance -- although I do think Tulsa is playing well enough right now to potentially upset someone in the 1st round of the NCAA tournament.
If Tulsa doesn't win the conference tournament, they will be one of my favorites to win the NIT. I know the NIT doesn't carry a ton of weight, but it would still be a good look for the conference to have the NIT champion + 3 teams advancing to at least the 2nd round of the NCAA.

Winning the NIT can potentially have the same weight as winning 2 games in the dance. Potentially.

That happened in 2016, when 5 seed UConn played 6 seed Memphis in the championship game.

Well, 2 of the 3 are going to lose regardless of who wins the tourney; so I'll go with the 4th team, as only 1 team's seeding will be adversely affected.
The only team I'd be interested in going is Tulsa.

Tulsa needs to win one in conf. tourny and two would be the dessert.
