In that interview coach called our team "road warriors"

Ummmmm....Coach. We are 4-4 on the road and 0-3 in neutral site games. We have not beaten 1 team with a winning record on the road. The teams we have beaten are:

Troy (10-13)
FAU (7-15)
FIU (8-15)
Charlotte (4-18)

Not exactly a bunch of "road warriors" IMO
We have three big road games in the next two weeks. Gotta stay positive and keep battling. We have played Auburn, Marshall, WKU, and ODU down to the wire on the road... no reason to think we can't pick up at least two Ws over the upcoming stretch.

Give it a break.

Warriors fight. Doesn't mean they are successful all the time.
He was referring to playing better on the road but then again I’m not nit picking an interview. You work for CNN or Fox?
Maybe HCRE is trying to give the guys some confidence by building them up.

Can't really blame the players. They are talented enough. For whatever reason, the TEAM is not getting it done. I'm not sure Ehsan even knows there is a problem yet though because Haase had 2.75 bad years and then a good post season and a good follow up year and he got promoted.

The reason Ehsan got the job was the perception, real or imagined, that some of our important guys might transfer. Mainly, Lee, Coke & Nick.

2 of them have regressed.

Uhh, those regressions may have been caused by four surgeries in four years and a lost season due to an injury in the first game. Are we blaming Ehsan for injuries and surgeries.

I was not. Trolls might.

Glad to see we actually have some team that can beat a Charlotte team with a losing record on the road.
We are happy you are glad.
I think what we learn from this situation is to not be afraid of the possibility of losing players when hiring a new coach. The turnaround in college basketball is quick. Quality coaches can assemble and coach-up quality teams in short order.

But also realize hiring Ehsan may have saved us from hiring a coach who was just indicted by the feds.

So there's that angle.
What we haven't learned is that fans have to patient when you hire a coach that has never been a head coach before. Most coaches need time to grow in the job.

Fans demanded and yelled to keep Ehsan. Now those same fans are yelling for him to go. Give him at least four years. The only reason he's taking this much heat is because UA and Auburn are doing pretty good. I say give him 2 more years, but let his record be his evaluation then.

I agree with the two more years. I disagree about Bama and Auburn being a factor.

I'll add that I wanted him to get the job. I don't want him to be fired. He should get 4 years. I want to see improvement but there isn't any to speak of. It is on him to fix it but I can't expect fans to be happy with mediocrity. We're UAB damn it. We are basketball in Birmingham. Having some pride and wanting to win shouldn't ruffle Ehsan's feathers or anybody else's.

We dodged a bullet for sure.
I'd fire him if there isn't significant improvement next year. 3 years is enough to know what type of coach he is. This was supposed to be the year. We may have actually gotten worse.

+1

Would have a list of 10 coaches in my desk, if I were Ingram.

good luck on getting someone other than a high school coach. If you are not going to pay the head coach anything and going to pull the plug after three years, you aren't going to get many takers.

But he won't be fired next year unless he is caught with sheep, regardless of his record. Basketball isn't important enough anymore for them to fire someone after three years.
But it was so important at one time that Jarod Haase was part of a hostage video. We’ve backslidden so far
