My Valentine Day Team needs one more.
1. Lionel Love
2. Deion Lavender
3. Nate Darling
4. Stan Rose.
Can't think of one more.
The closest I could come up with is Rod Rucker, but that is probably a little too crass. Same for Squeaky Johnson
Rod Willie and Eric Bush.
Hey, I didn't start this.
We had the Love Coach, but that was in football.

Also, Carlos William"s long time friend and team mate, Leonard Bush, who stepped in one night in a game in Montgomery when Carlos had his knee injury in the first half and the game went into double or triple overtime and Leonard Bush won that game for UAB, scoring a lot of points in the overtimes.
Chad Jones also had a huge game. Hit a three to send it to OT. Bush had 25 I think and Jones 23. Bush hit some FTs to close it out as I recall. Been a while.
How could we not forget that the ladies don't like Smallwood...... Bad timing but...... oh well.

Old school. Donnie Speer!
You're welcome.
I started this with names related to love, romance and Valentines. But this is more fun.
Does UAB lead the nation in basketball players with phallic sounding names?
Or are we just a bunch of perverts?
Sidney Ball. That one could be used either way. Ballroom dance or anatomy part.
McKinley "PHM" Singleton.
We had a player on the football team with a last name of Dyck or something like that.
I always thought Fuqua wasn't a nice sounding name the way I pronounce it.
2018 is an interesting year for Lent. It begins with Ash Wednesday on Valentines Day and ends with Easter Sunday on April Fools Day.
