The Selection Committee releases their Top 16 in about 30 minutes. There's obviously quite a bit of basketball to play, but it'll be fascinating to see how much weight is placed upon the new tiered system. Here's my best guess of the seeds:

1 Villanova
1 Xavier
1 Virginia
1 Sparty

2 Purdue
2 Clemson
2 Auburn
2 Texas Tech

3 Duke
3 UC
3 Kansas
3 North Carolina

4 Ohio State
4 Tennessee
4 Gonzaga
4 Rhode Island

Lots of traditionally weak teams from power conferences are having great seasons - Texas Tech, Auburn, Clemson, and Tennessee - and they have the numbers to back it up. It'll be interesting to see how the committee treats teams like Ohio State and Rhode Island, who have strong numbers, except in the Tier 1 (Ohio State is 2-4 and Rhode Island is 1-3).
Pretty good list. However, I can almost guarantee you Auburn and/or Clemson will be switched with Duke and/or KU. It's just the way it is.

Cincy should be a 2 seed but we know how these douche committee members butcher things.

You're probably right about Dook and KU. I'm also fully expecting Rhode Island to get screwed, although they have a good claim as a 3 seed.

No, I think we are a #3 right now, with a win today and one of the WSU games maybe then, still a lot of work to do. If the OOC drags UC down, then that's on Mick and the AD.

The ****** part of that OOC SOS is that it is very easily corrected by replacing two of the Alabama State-type games with a Wright State and an Akron, for example. Playing a few serviceable mid-majors over the bottom of the bottom moves our SOS way up.
Purdue a 1 seed after this week?
Woah! Cincy 2 Seed?

I’m shocked I tell ya! Shocked!
Duke and KU... rofl
Well...it’s now Cincy’s 2seed to lose. Let’s get it to a 1...

And not sent to the West Coast.
Wow. UC has a 2 is a bit of a surprise. Duke and KU - no surprise. Color me pleased with the UC seed. But Virginia? Ugh.
KU ahead of Texas Tech, despite a worse record and a head-to-head loss to them. The committee is a bunch of hypocrites.

Oklahoma a 4??
You were right geef. Rhode Island screwed.
Oklahoma and Arizona? Awful. Typical.
Of course now the forum will try to talk UC out of it.
That’s the tv talking heads
It's super early obviously, but Jerry Palm has UC against NKU in his bracket. How's that for a story line?

I saw that. Good sense of humor.

That's actually the one thing I appreciate about the selection committee. They tend to try and set up intriguing matchups, as they did with UC and Ohio State a few years back.

Both can play at home and neither are away.
