Unbelievable...I remember thinking that we were going to really be in for a treat this season back when we beat Iowa St. Dare I say, I envisioned us being a Sweet 16 squad again...or better.
I see a couple of things. Our top 7 have logged too many minutes at this point in the season and are playing on tired legs. They are far from being defensive stoppers to begin with and when you add tired legs to the mix our defense becomes a bunch of orange cones. Scooty, as good has he has been, is a freshman and has hit the wall due to too many minutes and his already bad shot selection and decision making has become an abomination. Too late to get the horse back in the barn now. Finally we have too many wanna be 3 point shooters. There is no depth to our game at all if Coke can't provide an alternative to the barrage of three pointers taken. At this point in the season, there is so much film on us, everyone is going to start playing us this way. Let them shoot the three with a hand in their face and limit them to one shot because Coke is the only one that's going to rebound.

I don't buy the tired legs argument at all. These are kids. They bounce back very quickly. We go 8-9 deep every night too.
