Hats off to Wes that he was willing to dismiss his leading scorer in the middle of a bad season. However, it could be addition by subtraction.
Sad that it came to that but there appeared to be an attitude problem going back to last year. Hope the other players respond & step up to the challenge.
Can't believe we just got rid of our best player. Not sure if this changes my New Orleans plans or not.

I did not see what he did to get the first technical the other night. I was in the first row and was looking right at him when he got the second technical and didn't see him do or say anything. Maybe he said something under his breath.

However, I assume, this was just the "tip of the iceberg" or "the straw that broke the camel's back". Maybe Wes has been trying to "rein him in" all season, but just hasn't been able to get through to him. I will give Wes credit for making this tough decision, but do we have another double figure scorer on this roster? Maybe it will be "addition by subtraction", but not winning another game looks increasingly likely.
As we say in the Hood: Deuces, 'Dre! Anytime you shoot your mouth off at the referee, for no reason, not once, but twice, you get dumped like 3 bags of garbage!
Well now someone else will get a chance to step up with a little more playing time. He averaged 29 minutes a game, most on the team. (seemed like more than that)
I guess we'll never know the "real" reason he was dismissed. If he was a hog you'd have tons of media trying to "dig up" what happened. The local media won't give it a second thought.
now if they can find a way to get rid of the coach we might be getting somewhere. This program is at an all time low after two years ago being at the summit.
The scoring is there, and the scoring that is there is much more efficient than Andre was. We do lose something with his departure, but certainly not offensive efficiency. Now many players will be taking the shots who can make shots. And if he was a cancer in the locker room, this could be a big plus.

Maybe that's why we got him to begin with. Maybe Beard thought he could rein him in, but Wes was "stuck" with him until today.
IMHO, athleticism is overrated. Usually what it gives you is flashy, and flashy points count the same as dull points.

We will miss Andre's rebounding.

As for his scoring, I am guessing his minutes will be picked up most by Reedus and Corcoran, and both of them are much more efficient scorers than Andre was.
Andre is the only player on the team who has proven he could take a defender one on one and get to the basket consistently. He just didn't finish when he got to the basket.

You are 100% right on that. His not finishing was close to driving me crazy. Still believe he will learn to do that, it just won't be at Little Rock.
Regardless of the outcome, I am very interested to see how this is going to affect the chemistry of the team.

That's been our problem here for years. We've had a ton of athletic players come through LR, but most weren't particularly good basketball players.
