Anybody know how to find out what games gene steratore will be working?

I thought it was a well officiated game. I couldn’t believe the crap that Collingsworth was saying. The touchdown calls that were reviewed were correct.

Clement’s TD should’ve been incomplete at least from what i’ve seen in similar plays over the years. Admittedly I watch way more college football. Probably a TD in college where they don’t seem to have this much confusion.

Ertz’s TD wasn’t close. He was a runner. Took 2 steps and ball never moved. Collinsworth needed to shut it.

Otherwise yes I agree it was well officiated.

My opinion on the Clement TD was the NFL wasn’t going to allow a Super Bowl to be decided by reversed touchdown calls. The call on the field was touchdown, and it wasn’t obvious enough to overturn. I still thought that he caught it and took two steps first.

You can’t sleep either. Common problem tonight.

The more I think aboit it...they probably say incomplete in college. The standard seems to be whether the ball is moving as they go out of bounds or hit the ground. Ertz secured it. Clement did not.

I use college as an example since they don’t have the confusion the nfl has. I’m thinking out loud why not.

Why have a review if you’re sticking with call on the field? It just puts the whole system into question. Patriots lived by the sword against Pittsburgh. They died by it (partially) tonight so they can’t say too much.

You know what I like about the TV coverage i’ve seen...local and to some extent national?

It seems to be more the Eagles won than the Patriots lost. I haven’t seen a single interview out of the Patriots locker room on CSN or whatever it’s called now.Philly is just enjoying it. I think it shows how confident people were in this team and the opponent didn’t matter.

Was an entertaining game for sure. One of the better ones, even for my distaste in either team. I agree with hiroshima that the clement one should have been incomplete otherwise a well officiated game. Clement had that ball move and once he regained possession he only got one foot in and his second foot was just out. For the record, the superbowl is the time to make the big decisions because it is the highest level. If you want calls to be consistent you have to be able to make difficult decisions at the absolute highest level. By being safe there you actually add confusion down the line.

The issue with the Clement call was that it was SO CLOSE. Sometimes it becomes a 50/50 interpretation. I thought it was the right call. Lots of people didn't. If a call comes into question like that, they go with the refs call on the field, and that's what they did.

I'm pretty sure in the regular season, both of those would have been ruled not touchdowns, but the league didn't want their inane reception rules to hang over their biggest event. Whatever, I'll take it! We're the only college game in town on Thursday, all the stops should be out to get people into the DAC after the parade to end all parades.
