Meanwhile our U_F school brethren have 2/2 Florida, and 6/6 Florida State to compete with.

If it makes you feel better Uconn gets more athletics money from the conference than the rest of us and they're 2nd to last.
This is a very interesting thread. I have nothing to contribute because I do not care.

Yet you did contribute because you cared enough to say you didn't care.

It amazes me how bad ECU softball is, and pretty consistently bad also.

At one point Winterville had some of the best All-Star teams in the country. This area is just as big in youth softball as it is baseball, you could take players from just Pitt County honestly and probably compete for a league title.
ECU will do better than 8th or last place.

ECU softball has never been consistently bad. Just average to bad the past 3-4 years. For a stretch we were consistently making the NCAA tournament as 2/3 seeds and in the Conference Championship.
I wouldn't be surprised if this is the year we knock Tulsa off their perch. We return everyone.

teh rivalry

Cougar tears are mmm mmm good
Decent start for most teams;

USF hosted a tournament and went 4-1 including a nice win over Michigan. Got torched by Florida though

Houston (3-1) went up to Texas A&M for a tournament and crushed Texas Tech twice, beat Boston College, and lost to the host Aggies 4-5 on a walk off single.

Memphis played in a tournament and also went 3-1 losing to NC State and beating scrubs

UCF and UConn both went 3-2 in tournaments in Florida

Tulsa and Wichita State finished 2-2 in tournaments away from home. Tulsa got beat twice by the host school, McNeese State.

And, then there's the Pirates. Only team to start off below .500
Dang, that's saying something if we were able to hang with A&M.

Damn it,we may really need you to coog it for us. That's definitely a good sign.
#NotLast

For now...
ECU went 2-3 beating FIU who is receiving votes and losing 3-0 to USCe who is recieving votes. Also beat the Big East favorite St Johns 4-0. Better start than some others
