This is no ordinary trip to the beach for our green and gold boys. This is a business trip where their resiliency and fortitude will be tested.

While it wouldn't surprise me at all if we lose given the incredibly difficult travel schedule and window (this is horrible scheduling on this 2 game road swing) to have more or less 19-20 hours of bus rides in about 72 hours to and from Towson and UNCW while playing 2 games, there is something about the resiliency and grit of this team that leads me to think that we dig deep and find a way tomorrow.

I'm thankful to not be playing a UNCW team of the past few years with Keats' pressing style. That would have been incredibly difficult coming off the OT game with Cohn playing all 45 minutes and the road trip.

Hope for a hot start and for Nathan to rise to the challenge v. Cacok.

Go Tribe!
I know they are not at the level from a year ago, but they appear to have found something recently. They are playing very well with wins over Elon, Towson and JMU, plus an OT loss to Northeastern. Given recent form, we should be underdogs. This would be a major win for the Tribe and set us up for some VERY big games back at Kaplan next week. The pessimist says we need to win 10 games to avoid the play in round and the optimist says we need a win tomorrow for a good road trip and to stay in range of Charleston and Northeastern. Just hope the guys are ok after the tough physical contest last night. Need to start fast and keep scoring tomorrow. Plus, perhaps a more even shake from the officials than we got last night. We got a great effort from many players last night and I think we will get one again tomorrow. For the most part, it has been easy to be proud of this team.
Cacok had 26 & 24 last night! YIKES!04-jawdrop
Will be interesting to see how Knight handles Cacok and who picks up fouls early! The game, in my opinion,
hinges on that battle.
Tribe a 1 point favorite.

It sounds as if the magic number should be 84+ for tonight.
I am a little surprised at being favored, as we are coming in 1-3 over the last 4 and are at their place and they have been playing better of late. Plus, this game involves ALL of the worst ingredients for a short schedule:

OT loss to a tough, physical team
4 hour bus ride home (past midnight)
1/2 day class, 1/2 day practice, 4 hour bus ride to NC
1/2 day for mental prep
Game
4 hour bus ride home

This brings out the worst of the CAA Thur/Sat schedule. That schedule gets the league a little extra press on Thursday night/Friday mornings, but is a killer for the Saturday travel teams.

I just hope the guys can get the game plan in and that they will be fresh enough to play, what should be, a high tempo game tonight.

I also hope Nate has gotten what ever has been bugging him straightened out in his mind. We need him, and one of his double-double performances, at full throttle for the matchup with Cacok.

Good Luck Tribe!
I also hope that Pierce is not too banged up after that nasty fall to the floor.
Game day baby! This is a game we should win if we want to be at the top of the conference this year.

I believe it is actually a MUST win game. Harrison has five fouls to use today, and he better use all five of them hacking the **** out of Cacok! Same goes for Nathan...hope he packed his big boy pants for the trip to Wilmington tonight because Cacok is a BEAST.
Let's see who they put on Knight or if they just play zone. Bryan may take Cacocks' fouls. Wilmington doesn't shoot well at all, but get's a lot of second chance points. Take Cacock out of the equation and they barely shoot 40% from the floor. They are not good from the line either. This could be real messy and physical unless the refs are calling fouls.
The only must win games are in the CAAT.

I definitely see your point. But, if there is any real hope in winning a regular season championship outright which the Tribe has never done, a win today is a important. Not sure what we will actually get tonight, especially given the extremely physical contest from Thursday.

Just as long as they make calls consistent on both sides of the court. (Goes without saying that I would never think that calls would be made inconsistently in OUR favor). :o)
Okay, so Mustafa is starting. What do you figure David did...or maybe, the stat people goofed?
So, Jay has Cohn starting, but the Stat service has Mustafa. Gotta be an error.
TV had Mustafa as well, but Cohn introduced, so that settles that.
Two wide open threes. Gotta get out there
Looks like we went to man to stay on them.
