Shame the way Bloomgren has lost this recruiting class.

I believe we’ve only had two decently regarded recruits flip. The better Kuithe twin who I’m guessing would’ve flipped to Utah anyway and Brady who flipped to UTSA today.

The three 3 stars he’s picked up are more than Bailiff even had in this class. (I don’t remember if Prudy from SA was a 3 star).

If we get some Stanford preferred walk on targets this class will be much better off than before.

Haha my bad. With all the negativity about filling the staff that completely went over my head. We have “lost” half the recruiting class but it wasn’t great to begin with.
We really need a sarcasm emoji.

Thanks

All 2 stars.

Offers from the academies and some other schools.
Brockermeyer has a P5 offer from Oregon state which is listed as “warmer” now.
Harmon has a P5 offer from KSU.

Calderon, Brady, and both Kuithes are 3-stars on 247sports, FWIW. Both of the Kuithes seem like major losses to me based on video. But as you noted, there’s no telling whether they would have ended up at Rice under any circumstances (a la Howerton last year, and others before him).

Among Stanford walk-on candidates, Riley Smith appears to be Rice’s top target. 247sports now lists Boise State as his favorite.

Syptak looks like a nice pickup.

Just made my day
IMO, this class is looking good. Bloomgren has done really well. Kids must know he's going to be a good head coach. We lost a handful of Bailiff's players, but the ones we're recruiting now look and sound more talented.
Brockermeyer is officially visiting this weekend. Hopefully he clicks with the new staff and re-confirms his commitment.

would be huge IMO
The guy who is visiting this weekend from Eden Prairie is/was Mr. Football in the state of MN.

JSA: If they are related, it doesn't appear to be a close relation.

Details are on the 2018 Football Recruiting thread:

OMG here we go again. That's why 56 pages of recruiting threads are kind of useless.

No we don't believe so. It's been brought up twice in this thread already.

LOL. Here are links to those earlier posts -- #4/April 2, 2017 and #171/Dec. 9, 2017 -- which contain the same information: that if they are related, it doesn't appear to be a close relation.
