Tomorrow night features some interesting match ups.

CSUB vs UMKC
The Roos have struggled all season, while the Runners have struggled in conference play. One of these teams will finally get their first conference win. The question is which.

UVU vs UTRGV.
UVU continues to play strong in conference play. It was only a 25 point win over CSU, which is surprising because they won their last two by 30+. UTRGV has played solid so far with two wins and a 13 point loss to GCU. If UTRGV had beaten GCU, then this game would have been very interesting indeed. Still I think that UTRGV can close the margin of victory. Not expecting an upset but anything is possible.

GCU vs CSU.
CSU has played close in the first half of their conference games. GCU has played most of their opponents close. This game might be closer than most GCU fans hope especially after the game CSU gave them last year.

NMSU vs SU
NMSU has been dominate all season with only 3 losses coming from good teams. SU has a pretty good record, but their first major test against GCU came up short. SU can give NMSU a good game, but it is unlikely they pull off the upset. SU will be fired up and will most likely make this game close.
Battle for 6th tomorrow
The UVU/UTRGV game may be close since the V's are playing at home. KenPom lists UVU as a 6 pt favorite (83-77).
SU does not seem to play as well on the road so I predict NMSU will win by 15+ points. KenPom does as well (78-63).
UMKC probably has the slight advantage over CSUB just because they are playing at home.
As for GCU vs. CSU, I am praying KenPom is right and the final score is around 79-61. However, no one beyond Vernon has been that consistent all year so who knows.
UMKC on NBCSports-Chicago again. They’ve been on out here a few times.

I think GCUs typical late first half surge will be critical to taking the wind out of Chicago State’s sails. The closer a game in the second half, the more likely GCU has been to lose so far this season. They need an 8-10 point lead going into the break to make me feel comfortable. And I won’t feel comfortable until there’s a 10-12 point lead with less than two minutes left.
I have a feeling our defense is going to get shredded by UVU. Dixon has been starting slow in the first half for some reason and gets all his points in the second half. We need both halves to be good this game.

The V's are holding their own right now. Down only 5 at halftime. Cheering for the V's!!
Yeah, I’m pulling for UTRGV. Saw a brief bit of their halftime program when I was switching between games. Nice little student fan section called The Herd. I hope they get as popular in Edinburg the Havocs are in Phoenix.
UMKC leading CSUB by 5 with 7 min left. UVU up by 9 with 6:30 left. These are some pretty good games going on.
New Mexico State up 37-22 over Seattle.

Zach Lofton played less than 5 minutes in the 1st half due to picking up two quick fouls.

Too bad the V's did not pull it out. Looks like they fought hard. Keeping it to single digits against a very good UVU team shows promise.
They are continuing to improve. I’m not looking forward to our trip to Edinburg; They defend their house well.
So happy to see all the WAC teams whooping that Big West team from Cali.

Damn, KenPom is on the ball once again! He should become dictator of NCAA basketball.
Even though we didn't win we probably eased everyone's worries that UVU was going to blow everyone out.

Yah, Congrats Roos! (Where is that Roo poster lately anyway?)
CSUB mired in dismal season, spiraling downward each game.
