We are reliable solid big man play away from being legit title contenders. There is still time for Green, Murphy, or even Miller to grab that role and not looK back. Each game is an opportunity, and I believe they all he the potential for it.

Top 6 is the key to the tournament. Player development and a top 6 spot should be our goal, and anything on top of that in the regular season being gravy. CAA Tourney title is our real goal, and we need to hit the first two to have a good shot at the third.
You guys are definitely a legit title contender already.

This is a little bit too much.

What big big man are you expecting us to have? Who was this great big man in 2015? Etherton was 6-8. Shawn James? Who.

Really talented bigs play in Power 5 conferences, and quite frankly small ball is the way to go in college and the NBA.

What we have right now is enough to get us to the the title. They’re a piece of the puzzle, not the centerpiece.
Eatherton was definitely our big man in 2015. If our guys are able to create space down low like he could, our offense would be so much more dynamic.

I'm not saying we can't win now, but if they take abother step forward, we could be awesome out there.
You fouled in the act of UNCW shooting a three with 0.4 seconds left, and all three free throws were made to force overtime.
It didn't cost you the game as you won 81-77.

STL.....I agree with you. If we had a big like Eatherton who was a reliable low post scorer and defender we would be a title contender. Until then we have an over matched freshman (trying his best and really improving) playing because our 6'11 guy and our 6'10 hanen't been effective.

I disagree.

Green is more than capable of defending Cacok. He did last year.

This is why a lot of us are frustrated with Coen. Green could have easily played down the stretch IMO. He’s the best defender in the paint..

Why can’t Murphy and Green play down the stretch? UNCW has 2 bigs before one fouled out in OT.
Green was pulled tonight because he was totally lost against Cacok. Did tou see Pucica screaming at Green when he lost Cacok for the second time in a row for a dunk? I think that's when Coen pulled Green for good. Anthony has been playing better this year but one good outing in every three or four is not cutting it and I think Coen has decided to give Murphy his minutes so Murphy can develop. Guess we just have to disagree on this one.

Green got in foul trouble which sent him to the bench. I could care less about Vasa screaming at someone. He needs to worry about taking care of the basketball.

Look if you think Murph is our next Eatherton then i’m with you, but he’s got more time before he reaches that level.

But By the time he’s a senior, he’ll be a better all around player than Scott IMO.
Congrats on the OT win NU.

For the record, I didn't say that Murphy would be the next Scott Eatherton. What I am saying is that he is earning more minutes and that he is taking those minutes away from the other two bigs. There's a reason for that...and the reason that Anthony didn't come back into the game isn't because he had three fouls.

I don’t say you did. I said if you think.

Murphy had one great game. Green didn’t. Let’s leave it at that.

Agreed. Wiz, we're on the same side.
