Absolutely. If you read/post here but aren't a member of Blazer Boosters...why not? You obviously have a vested interest in UAB athletics. $4/month is extremely cheap (just drink one less coffee or eat out one less lunch), but could make a big impact to the athletic department via growing the donor base.
If every alumni, fan or person associated with UAB or the athletic department committed to only $50 a year. Imagine what the economic impact would be. Hard to estimate the dollar figure but it has to be several million dollars a year, and it is a very small commitment on the individual.
If every UAB employee (approx 18,000) was a Blazer Booster at the $50 entry level, that would only pay Coach Clark's yearly salary. The good news is we have many donors that give many times over that.
Right now, number of members is more important than the amount given.
I'm giving $50 per month and on a waiting list to get in the Booster section where you pay an additional $600 per season ticket. I'm trying to get two seats (my son and I). I'm doing my part to help cover those that can't.
