Since 1992, Nathan is having the 2nd best statistical season of any big in the CAA. Long way left to go, but pretty impressive group of names that he is up there with.
You could argue that Benimon's senior season with 18.7 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 3.6 assists was better, but Knight is an elite player, and could win a CAA Player of the Year. Benimon's 2013-2014 was one of five seasons in any conference since 1992-1993 with at least 15 points, 11 rebounds, and 3.5 assists.
It is interesting to me that Stevenson is the only player on the list that has a repeat season and only one other Sophomore on the list (Hodges). Here's hoping that Nathan finishes his career at W&M with 3 on the list.

Knight so far is at 2.3. The best W&M season was Tarpey at 5.5. The top 9 seasons were all by seniors, and #10 was George Evans when he was 28 years old.

Really surprised MT doesn't appear until #83

The advanced metrics hated his defense. Plus he had to take a lot of bad shots when the play broke down at the end of the shot clock which doesn't help his efficiency.

That defense, half of the game, matters?
I love Nate's demeanor and desire. His talent is undeniable. There has been no match for him on the floor. And, I am surprised at his greatly improved free throw shooting.

But, in watching him this year, I am most impressed by his hands. In years past, we have had guys who can't control passes or handle rebounds under the basket. Nate does this better than any big man I can remember. That keeps our offense flowing as intended, and it is nice to see.

Not sure if you were thinking of anyone in particular but when I read this I immediately saw Sean Sheldon's bricks for hands in my mind.
What amazes me about Knight is every game there is a different offensive move in his skillset shown that we haven't seen before. Just a complete all around game that is continuing to develop. The team is showing the same kind of development.

In 2006-2007 Loren Stokes won Player of the Year, but his win shares only rank 3rd on Hofstra and 12th in the CAA that season.

Lol I just want math to mirror my feelings. Is that too much to ask?

A) Win Shares is far from perfect;
B) Voters get distracted and do dumb things.
I’m just hoping Nathan really, really likes Williamsburg and his teammates/coaches within the program.

Could be an interesting off season as a result of his breakout year.

Preach. He seems to be enjoying himself with this team, let's hope that is true.
Knight already went to 13 years of school before getting here. Sitting out a year doesn't make any sense. He's either good enough to play professionally or not, and last I checked the NBA likes younger rather than older coming out of school.

He won't yet have his degree, will he? Real worry will be after his junior year if he has a degree thanks to summer classes.

At this point Knight's name doesn't show up in anyone major's top 100 draft prospects, at least in a cursory search done this afternoon. There's still time for that to change but he appears off their radar at the moment.
