I believe I have heard this once before, or read it, that fans at least those following the women's game, do not support the mens program by going to their games or sticking around to watch them? True for the most part, or am I wrong.
There are many that support both teams. The women's fans are very passionate about their team. There are some fans that only support one or the other.

I go to both as do many of those I know. My daughter has no interest in the men but never misses the women.
