And it goes to show all those that doubt, Mid Majors can be on the same level as the Power 5.

That was a heckuva performance by UCF.
And it should also show MAC fans what a REAL access bowl G5 team should ideally look like. Remember these guy's left the MAC with no conference wins their last season-----they have come a long, long way in a little over a decade, but then, they had the advantage of being the rapid growth university in a rapid growth state full of top level HS football players.
Should be competing for a national title. NCAA Div 1 FBS football is the only level in the wide world of sports where every team does not have a chance (however small) at a national title. No one can defend that
Certainly opens up a can of worms. [/font]
Coach Frost says it was a "conscious act" by the committee to keep Central Florida out of the playoff and that it was "unfair"

Actually the whole nebreaska ucf thing was strange, UCF was sending him home with a win without any hard feelings to him going back to his alma mater.

They said it was a shame ucf wasn't in the playoffs.

I think the more g5 teams get Ws against p5s the harder it is for them to try to put is in our own playoff and split.

Perhaps an expanded playoff got one step closer with this one, who knows
This is what Boise and now UCF have done and win big bowl games. This is what UT needs to too, but in the mean time, darn it, win those minor bowl games.

UCF lost to Arkansas State 13-31 in the 2016 Cure Bowl.

First step for UT is to actually get into a major bowl, only an undefeated season is ever going to get a MAC team into that situation-or play more top 25 out of conferences games-and win them. Frankly same goes for UCF, until they play a stronger season even a 8 team playoff will have them looking in from the outside.

Hi guys!

Just IMO of course, IF UCF were able to again run the table next year, and if they Playoff were expanded to 8, it would be near impossible for the cretins who run the CFP to leave us out. Again.

The media narrative already is what a farce this all is; it would go nuclear if they left undefeated UCF 2018 out of an expanded Playoff.

To be honest I was really wondering how we'd fare yesterday before the game. I watched in person as UCF beat Auburn at every single position for 60 minutes. I am convinced this team could have competed in a Playoff and quite possibly have won.

UCF should have been in the playoffs this year. Hell of season, nonetheless & it's the type of season I yearn for Toledo to accomplish sometime in the near future.

Not getting invited to the playoff hasn't stopped Central Florida from claiming a national championship.
