It seems we are entering WAC play without a clear starting five. So what does everyone think? Who should Majerle be placing in the starting line up?
Here are my picks:
C - Ally Lever
PF - Keonte Vernon
SF - Oscar Frayer
SG - Josh Bruan
PG - Shaq Carr

I would prefer to see Matty J in there, but I don’t think you start him over Ally because you give up some size in doing that.
Would probably get me booed out of GCU arena, but I go:

Carr
Benson
Frayer
Vernon
Lever

You read that correctly. JB as a 6th man. It is worth noting, however, that I don't value who starts the game nearly as much as who finishes it.
I don't have a care who starts, but...Benson should not be bringing the ball up anymore. I'd rather see shaq, Fiji, and a little damari. Shoot id rather see shiek play more than Benson at this point. I'm also all for Braun sitting and coming off the bench. Something is broken.
I agree with benching Braun. He hasn’t been playing up to his potential and other guys off the bench have been contributing more with fewer minutes. I think Benson fell apart at Louisville and hasn’t bounced back. Last night he got frustrated and committed three fouls in a three minute span. Lever is definitely the better choice over Blumberg. I also miss seeing Gerard Martin and Matt Jackson. Both are high IQ guys who play defense well and contribute. Honestly I think Vernon is our most consistent player at this point.

What is going on with Kerwin Smith? Did he just fall apart? He comes in and looks lost. Also, Demari Milstead isn’t going to get better without more minutes. If he’s the one to replace Shaq Carr next year, he needs to get some experience.
