Does anyone know the backstory on why he did not play in the Bowl game. Did he just not want to go through the practices, was he concerned about the potential for injury impacting his chances to play at the next level, was he just done with school and wanted to move on with his life etc.
At any rate if he just bailed on the team I am indifferent about his future success. I do not wish him any ill will but I am not going to follow his career and root for his success as much as I do for Tommylee Lewis, Jimmie Ward and others.
Sounds like somewhere down the line, he felt disrespected by Coach Carey . Nobody knows the full story. Sounds like a similar situation to Huff minus any injuries.

Perhaps we will never know and perhaps it is something that should stay in the locker room but he was a HUSKIE and I am a fan and I am disappointed that he did not play for whatever reason. Perhaps he was just banged up and needed the time to get right for his hopes to play at the next level but there I go speculating and I really have no idea.

Will we ever know for sure say from the horses mouth? I am quite sure we will not. However, what Randy6969 said about the other players was right on the money, so I am quite sure he did not just make up what happened with Lee.
