For those that went, curious what you thought of Mobile and the bowl experience. I hope everyone had a good time. For the tough date you guys traveled extremely well. Congrats on the big win!

They're probably all traveling or worn out from travelling, but I've heard nothing but good things.
I enjoyed the trip and the city. Got in really late Friday night and left early this morning so didn't get to spend as much time as needed. I will admit this, because of: travel time, date of game, smaller fan turnout. I would prefer the Camellia Bowl from here on out, better overall experience. That's not meant to be a knock on Mobile, more of the convenience of Montgomery.
We absolutely loved our experience. Arrived Friday morning and attended the mayor's luncheon. Spent Friday afternoon at the official App State watering hole T.P. Crockmiers on the balcony with plenty of App State faithful. Watched the parade on Dauphin St. in front of Wet Willies with alcoholic slushies with a large contingency of App fans and took in the block party at Bienville square. Gameday breakfast at Spot of Tea on Dauphin St. with a number of fans from App and Toledo was very enjoyable. Rest of the day tailgating around the stadium went very well. We were very lucky to have this game on a Saturday and I know many fans complain about the date however I can honestly say almost every fan I met including myself raved about how superior their experience was in Mobile in comparison to Montgomery. Given the situation, I thought our attendance was about as good as we could expect. Really enjoyed the city and the bowl atmosphere. Hope to make it back in the years to come. Thanks for a great weekend!
First trip ever to Mobile. Was pleasantly surprised. The downtown area is real nice. Lots of friendly locals to provide advice and recommendations. Dauphin Street was fun. Found two really good seafood restaurants, one downtown and another across the river near the Battleship. The Mardi Gras parade was a lot of fun with loads of throws. Upon checking in at the hotel realized we were staying at the Toledo's Band Hotel but that didn't turn out to be a problem. The game experience was awesome, at least for App fans. Met numerous South Alabama fans who were sitting close to the App fans and they all congratulated us on the win and number and enthusiasm of the App fans. Would happily come again to Mobile for a game or just a beach trip. MobileBama1: Thanks again for all the good advice and hospitality. You represent your city well
Mobile puts on a great event.

Alcoholic slushies? HOW DID I MISS THOSE? Could have sworn I at least checked out every bar on Dauphin St. That place looks sick and I hate I missed it lmao.

Mobile was cool, just an absolute haul. I loved the trip and I liked Mobile as a city a bit better than Montgomery. However I stayed two nights in Mobile and would just stay one in Montgomery, so i never really checked out Montgomery's night life as much. If we go there again I'm not sure if I'd go, just because of the long drive and the date of the game. Every one I met was very nice, and the Quality Inn was a steal as far as price/location goes.

Wet Willy's, right on the corner of Conception and Dauphin. I had one that tasted like a fudgecicle (sp) and i had another that was made with 190 proof grain alcohol. They were great, from what I remember.

If it's like the one in Savannah, then that was a "Call A Cab".

Probably my favorite one.

Also, I'd mainline the chargrilled oysters from Wentzell's if I could.

Had a Call a Cab in Memphis on Beale St the night before the Ark St game. They are quite powerful.
One bowl I have always wanted to go to. Loved Mobile the one time I was there on a business trip.
