Why is Vegas so down on CUSA?

Any honest reasons why bettors are so down?

I feel we have a strong chance at a winning bowl record once again. This is our time, and hopefully we can make some positive statements.

Western Kentucky (-6.5) is the favorite over Georgia State as well.

Hopefully, we can prove Vegas wrong and finish the bowl season with a winning record as a conference.

More mediocre teams but not any good teams. Case in point North Texas (#97 Sagarin) won the west. UNT was slightly better this year but Tech and USM were really inept on offense. North Texas has to face a decent Troy team that beat LSU. North Texas lost to SMU by 22
I updated the thread, thanks y'all...

USM 33rd in the nation in offense...not that inept

Again, you saw the Keon Howard version of USM, not the Griggs version...04-cheers

I think Southern Miss has a shot. Actually, the Colorado State and Troy games are gonna be the hardest to pull off.
Well they've gotten us Blazers wrong all year so we're right where we want to be
PER. CEP. TION.

Until CUSA can prove they can CONSISTENTLY beat the big boys (P5s) AND not lose to the little boys (G5s, OOC obviously) we'll always be an afterthought. What is CUSA 3.0's record vs P5 teams? What is CUSA 3.0's record vs G5s (OOC)?

So you admit you have no clue about the record of the 2 questions you asked? If so then the "after thought" makes no sense. Or perception.

Here you go, let me help you https://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en&sa=X&...CRCksQPAgD
CUSA goes 9-0

Easily.

I don't know the numbers but I'm willing to bet they aren't as good as the MWC or AAC...?
2-7 ?? NO WAY. May not go 7-2 but we will beat out that baloney.

+1. There are some very average teams going bowling from CUSA. Of the nine bowl teams, I'd only describe two of them as "good." That being said, I do hope the conference wins them all. Saturday is a very big day. I'm ready.

If they looked at CUSA's bowl records the last several years, against all types of opponents, their perception would be different. We typically have very good bowl seasons for whatever reason. Seems like we were top bowl win percentage out of all FBS conferences a couple of those years.

That's true. The conference does well in it's bowl games. We'll get a lot of exposure this weekend on national television.. Here's to hoping the trend continues

Bleh!! There are nine good teams going bowling...

Debbie downers!! 9-0 run Bayyybee!!!
My CUSA picks for confidence (41 being very confident 99%, 1 being not confident 51%) were:
Temple 3 over FIU
StAte 13 over MTSU
Ohio 20 over UAB
WKU 23 over GaSt
FSU 34 over USM
CSU 38 over Marshall
SMU 39 over LT
Troy 40 over UNT
FAU 41 over Akron
I think 2-7 is fair to predict. 6-3 would be the absolute best if everything fell right.

FIU and UAB win, NT has a chance to beat Troy, but if Troy plays well they win, MT /Ark St is a toss up
We have done well last two bowl seasons....I don't think we are going 9-0, but all these games are winnable if CUSA teams bring their A games....Ohio, Colorado St, Ark. ST. Temple are not that much better than our teams....I think for sure we win outright 4 games and a good chance to get 5 wins...Rotoworld is picking Southern Miss to beat FSU. A lot of these bowls come down to who wants to be there the most....A lot of our matchups our teams have a chip on the shoulder to prove critics wrong...One thing worries me about WKU's match up is Georgia St. may want this win more than we do, we have won 3 straight bowls and GSU has never won a bowl before, you know they want to win their first ever bowl game...
