I see the entire Ole Piss team is skipping bowls the next 2 years.
All bowls are meaningless. Only the CFP mean anything. I am not surprised at all that any player entering the NFL draft to skip bowl games.
The are meaningless because espn created the bulk for programming.
Remove them from campus immediately. If they are thinking only of themselves then they have no business on campus.

you really need to stick to racin and rasslin.

you treat players like that and it will become impossible to recruit

you let them stay on campus to work out and be seen by scouts. it creates an atmosphere of success

you want nfl players to come here.....that's probably lost on you but so be it

Seriously? These schools make millions off these kids playing for them. How much do the kids make? For those who know they are going to be drafted and who stand to make millions, I don't blame them one bit. Outside of the playoffs, these games don't meant a thing except to the fans.

90% of the schools LOSE money on athletics. The players made an agreement when they were offered their free education. They are adults so they should be required to abide by that agreement. Most get compensation valued at around $100,000 and some as much as $250,000. This is just the cost of the free education, books plus room and board they receive.

This is being done by just a handful of players for now. If you recall at first you only saw a handful of players transfer to other schools in MBB. Now you see close to 700-800 a year doing it.

If the schools do not do something about this now there will come a time where almost every upper class player will decide they do not want to play in bowl games. Then you will see underclassmen doing it. It is a Pandora's box that needs to be addressed before it gets too far out of control. Your position just feeds the entitlement attitude of the players.

It is past time to stop treating these players as if they are the second coming of Jesus Christ.

Good. Maybe there shouldn't be bowl games. It's a stupid idea that's only carried on because of tradition

Would you support every basketball team that doesn't make the NCAA tournament playing a one-off neutral site game against some other team? No, because it's ludicrous

No to your basketball question because 64 teams make it to the NCAA tournament. But I do go to bowl games because only 4 football teams make it to the playoffs. I will say there are to many bowl games. Teams with loosing records should not be in a bowl game.
