I'm out of the loop a bit recruiting wise. Can anyone tell me who are some big names (3-4 star guys) that may still commit/sign with us this coming college football signing day that haven't committed anywhere yet?

This is probably the best player that we could get for 2018, but I also heard something about a big WR out of Oklahoma but can't recall his name.

2019 Eric Gray. He's a monster.

Emit Goodwin, former Haywood Co (Brownsville) DL playing at Independence CC. This is the kid Norvell was visiting Sunday when everyone was going spastic thinking he was at Arkansas.

Norvell's recruiting has been excellent, the past two years.

It could be SCARY good this year and RIDICULOUS if he stays another year!

I spoke to the principal at Lausanne HS yesterday. We talked about two kids from Lausanne that had committed to Memphis. I then asked him about Gray. According to him, he said to forget about Memphis having any chance with Eric...FWIW

There may be some local kids that committed to other schools earlier that might be wavering. I know from 247 sports website that Darrell Dickey met with the kid from St. Benedict that committed to Indiana this summer (Cam Jones). With the other coaching changes that have occurred, we might could pluck one or two more that made prior commitments elsewhere?

Thank you for that note. I think you mean Emmit Gooden. He originally signed with Mississippi State but did not qualify. His current list includes just about everybody so it would be a big-time landing for us.

The Jackson Sun had a January article about his JuCo time along with Tariqious Tisdale from Lexington. Tisdale signed with Ole Miss but he only his high school profile is retained on Rivals.com.

Some of those kids who Norvell committed the last 2 years, who didn't qualify and went juco, should be available this year as well. Maybe within the next couple of weeks.

Like the timing, right before the new early signing date next week. Also 247 composite has Gooden the 14th ranked JUCO player. Committed to Arkansas over the summer, but then de-committed last month. We recruited him out of high school, but he committed to Miss State, but didn't have the grades.

We are about to reel in some talent, boys.
