Wow ...
On paper, makes good sense. Only time will tell but I think the coach will do fine there.
Saw this from Rovell, but Taggart has had three different jobs in the past 365 days (USF, Oregon and FSU).
People here (myself included) are very excited about the hire. He has an excellent track record of upward momentum at each job he has assumed and I think he's going to bring a very strong staff with him. Also love his recruiting abilities, especially in Florida (his home state). Doesn't hurt to have a younger, passionate coach either. I think it's going to be a good fit.
IMO Home Run Hire!!

One year at Oregon a P5 school and he is gone - yeh I'd say wow. Really stuffed it to the ducks. He better make it at FSU or he is done at the P5 level. 03-nutkick 03-nutkick 03-nutkick 03-nutkick 04-jawdrop 04-jawdrop 04-jawdrop 05-stirthepot 05-stirthepot 05-stirthepot 05-stirthepot 07-coffee3

Oregon getting the G5 treatment 03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao
You have to think Oregon was letting Sumlin know they were interested when UCF came calling.
Average American will change jobs about 12 times before he retires.....Taggart is just not trying to get to far behind in the game.
A good fit for him and Florida State alike. He'll have a lot of competition from Mullen and Richt on top of Dabo, but he should be pretty good.

I think it will be too. His best USF teams looked like minor-league versions of good FSU teams. He recruits the same type of athletes and has a similar schematic approach.

We gotta problem here in Louisville....as does the rest of the ACC Atlantic...especially if Venables does go to Arkansas as Chad Morris Defensive Coordinator...which is possible

What makes you think that would happen?

They're close personal friends and the Hogs are going to get serious on the salaries. Still, I figured Venables would move for a H.C. slot.
