2pts 3 rebs against Memphis.

Speaking of Memphis I'm shocked more hasn't been made that we didn't score in the last seven minutes of the game. This is kinda alarming, somebody shouldve got to the charity stripe a few times.

It was this article that stated UAB didn’t hit a field goal over the last 6:42.

Our player of the year candidate had 18 points & 10 rebounds against Memphis.
He is one of 7 players averaging 15+ points, 10+ rebounds and shooting 60%+ in D1.
Good news for UAB... Jordon Varnado won't be playing tomorrow night. He's still out with a foot injury.

This is certainly a blow for Troy.

Bummer. I'd rather see the matchup with both teams at full strength, but hopefully he'll recover soon.
Troy is a 2 point favorite. IF I bet on sports, and I don't, Id take the blazers.

Because UAB is 8-12 points better than Troy without their top player (He is #1 or #2) and the homecourt is not worth that much.

I did bet on one UAB game about 25-30 years ago and I won. But betting & winning consistently when "juice" is involved is a fools game.

A lot of times these are game time decisions so I wont believe he isn't playing unless he isn't dressed out for warm ups.

The reason I think UAB wins this game is because they dont have anyone that can stop Coke. And unless Troy shoots 50% from 3 and we shoot 20%, UAB should win. Despite the home court advantage for Troy.

UAB does not have anyone that can effectively guard Person. And if Person & Baker shoot well from outside, Troy could win.

Person should be a blazer but he scored 12 on his ACT. (That's a joke, but I know we were aware of him in high school and I doubt anyone would turn down UAB for Troy)

According to al.com, he had offers from Troy, UAB, Mercer, and Western Carolina.

He was sold on Troy the whole way. His parents recommended Troy because of the coaching staff. We were also his first offer.

Yeah... Troy doesn't want to have to rely on the 3's against UAB though. Varnado would've been our strong man getting points in the paint for us, not to mention he's one of our better rebounders.

I don't feel good about this game anymore. Hopefully Troy can surprise me.

Yeah, I remember that. Trojan fans are happy now that our athletic department has been focusing on basketball more over the past 5-7 years.

Only residents of Birmingham and children of UAB grads. Special arrangements always need to be made for that group of folk.
I predict that a couple Troy players that have really struggled from 3 will throw in half court shots like they were layups

We know Stansbury cheated when the Troy coach was on his staff.
We know Persons uncle cheats. Its reasonable to wonder if extra benefits were involved. That said, Im not sure we had a scholarship for him late in the recruiting period. We probably were not banking on Lee signing and we had already made a mistake signing Calhoun in the early period. I think we used our last scholarship on Norton and we needed a point guard. We may have offered him early but his offer went away with the Calhoun signing. And we might have had a scholarship for him late if we didn't get Lee. So we may never know for sure.

Our last signee in the early period this year, Boyce, had a top 3 weeks before signing date only to find out that he didn't have a firm scholarship offer to any of those 3. I think we signed Calhoun, at least in part, to try and get Lee too. So its possible that Persons offer expired when we signed Lee. He would have been a far better signee than Calhoun, thats for sure. And we may have went after him harder late if we didn't get Lee. Because we needed our last scholarship for a point guard. (Nick)

Was, that the first time he took it, or the second time, Believe it or not, I know a highly skilled player for a final four team that made a 6 on the act and the second time he took it he made a 21 which got him to a School in Ohio and played in the Final Four and who is know a professional in the Security Industry played with Nick Van Excel.
Varnado is on crutches in street clothes. (19 points & 7 rebounds)

Coke twisted his ankle in practice. He will play though.
The line is down to Even/Troy-1 depending on the source.
I don't see 500 fans in the stands. Really.
